Product Description

Want a ski pylon but are feeling left out because you have an outboard boat? Don't worry, this Barefoot International Pro Ski Pylon is specifically designed to integrate into the back of outboard motor boats. This Pro Ski Pylon is a compact and strong way to tow skiers, barefooters, and wakeboarders behind your boat. The Barefoot Internation Pro Ski Pylon has 2 brace arms that telescope between 33" and 57" long. This makes the Pro Ski Pylon fairly universal and will fit the majority of outboard motor boats.

There are two versions of this outboard Pro Ski Pylon: a fixed height (45") version and an adjustable version (32" to 57"). If you want the ability to adjust your rope height, or if you need extra height in order to clear the top of your motor, then we suggest purchasing the adjustable version. Both version of this Ski Pylon come with a black Delron swivel that reduced the wear and tear on your rope - a definite plus for those expensive wakeboard ropes.

Made by Barefoot International, a trusted pylon manufacturer, you can rest assured this stainless steel pylon will be more than adequate quality for your boat.

  • Stainless steel construction
  • 2 options: Fixed height 45" or adjustable height from 32" to 57"
  • Telescoping brace arms adjust from 33" to 57"
Q:
What's the distance from the top of the pylon to the brace arms?
A:
From the very top of the pro ski pylon, down to where the arm supports attach to the pylon, is is 4.5 inches.

Q:
Does this come with the mounting base? if not where do I buy one?
A:
The Ski Pylon comes with a base plate you will use to mount to your boat. You will need to install the pylon’s base plate to the bottom of the boat using 1/4-20 bolts and large surface area washers on the underside, or if access to the underside is not possible to secure the bolts with nuts, you use 5/16” lag screws and seal with silicone.
Q:
Are these pylons strong enough to pull people on tubes?
A:
No, these pylons should *not* be used for pulling tubes. The manufacturer warns against such use due to the extreme danger in doing so, so they should not be used to pull tubes, kites, para sailors or stranded boats.
Q:
Does anyone make a pylon that *is* strong enough to pull people on tubes?
A:
No, no one does as no one should ever pull a tube with a tower or a pole. One should only be tubing from the ski eye attached to the back of the boat. Pulling a tube from a tower or pole is very dangerous and could cause some serious damage to the boat or people in the boat.
