Product Description

The Big Air Wakeboard Rack is a great rack for your boat if you're looking for a high quality, yet affordable way to keep your wakeboards up and out of the way. Made by Big Air, these racks are 100% Billet Aluminum and are designed to live a life in the sun and salt water. The Billet Aluminum looks great and will prevent the rack from ever rusting. This wakeboard tower rack is designed to hold up to two wakeboards. With 1.25 inches between the forks, there is plenty of space to hold kids, womens, mens, and even the new camber style wakeboards.

One of the best features about this rack is the single bolt attachment point. With the single attachment bolt, you can have the rack removed or placed back on your tower in no time. Having the quick release feature is great for a couple of reasons. For security reasons, it allows you to remove the rack quickly after each season in order to prevent theft while your bolt is in storage. Second, if your boat needs to fit into a tight space or you want to fold your tower down, then having the ability to quickly remove the rack is a huge convenience.

Each rack comes with an adjustable clamp that will fit 2", 2.25", and 2.5" tubing sizes for towers. The clamp is the component that will attach your rack to your boat's tower. Another benefit of the single bolt attachment point is that it allows rotational adjustment relative to the clamp. Meaning, no matter how the clamp is attached to your tower, you have the ability to set the rack level to the horizon. This is critical if your rack's tower is not perfectly vertical (most aren't). As an important note, you will need to check your particular tower and ensure that it is one of these sizes in order for this rack to fit properly.

How do I figure out what my tower tubing size is?
Once you determine the perfect spot for your new wakeboard tower rack, get a piece of string and loop it around the tower. Then, measure how long the string was that went around the tower - this is your circumference. Use the table below and read across to find out what diameter tubing your tower is. If your tower's tubing size comes out to 2", 2.25", or 2.5", your tower can accept this rack's clamp.  If it doesn't, don't worry, we carry a large selection of racks that will fit your needs. We recommend checking out the Wakesurf Boat Tower Rack | 2 Boards if you need different clamp size options.

Circumference (inch)    Diameter (inch)    Diameter (inch) Fraction
3.93 1.25 1 1/4
4.71 1.5 1 1/2
5.11 1.625 1 5/8
5.50 1.75 1 3/4
5.89 1.875 1 7/8
6.28 2 2
7.07 2.25 2 1/4
7.46 2.375 2 3/8
7.85 2.5 2 1/2
9.43 3 3

This Big Air Wakeboard Rack also comes with the option of a polished aluminum swivel add-on. The swivel add-on is a special mechanical device that sits between your rack and the clamp and allows the rack to swivel around. Why this is such a great feature is that it allows you to load and unload wakeboards from the rack with ease. When the rack is in its normal storage position, it has the wakeboards facing out and away from the boat which means you have to lean out over the water to get your board in and out of the rack. With the swivel, you can swing your boards around to face you on the inside of the boat - a huge convenience! We highly recommend a swivel -see the video below for more information.

  • 1.25" of space between rack forks
  • Fits 2", 2.25", and 2.5" tower tubing
  • 12" wide from fork to fork

Q:
Is this wide enough to carry a SUP? Or do you carry a rack that attaches to tower that is wide enough?

A:
This wakeboard tower rack is not going to work for a SUP. There really isn't a tower rack out there that will; not even ones with widest gaps are wide enough to hold most SUPs, plus there are going to a lot of issues because of the shape of the SUP, and it really isn't going to work safely or securely for your board. There several boat rack options for SUPs though, that you can find here. They are available for a few different types of boats, with different mounting requirements. None attach to towers, but instead to fishing rod holders or to rails.
