Surf travel can be a hassle without the right bag. There's nothing worse then getting to your destination and unpacking your boards only to find they're damaged. This Lightweight Single Surf Travel Bag is designed with all the features you need to get your surfboard to your destination in 1 piece so you can focus on the waves, and not finding a ding repair kit. The Komunity Project is a trusted name in the surf industry and they've put a ton of thought into the features of this bag to optimize your travel experience.
Lightweight Bag for 2 Surfboards. This surfboard travel bag is a compact bag at 19.5" wide (center of the inside) and 4.7" thick (inside) to fit 2 shortboard surfboards. Generally, the thickness of your surfboards, when added together, must be less than 4.7" to all fit in this bag. But don't forget to consider how your boards will be packed - what will be above, beneath, and between them (clothes, towels, etc.), will your fins be on or off - when you're considering how your surfboards will fit in this bag. Whether you're loading up your surfboard on your car's roof racks or hopping a plane for your next surf trip, this Surf Bag is a great fit for your thin shortboards. The overall lightweight design of this bag could end up saving you $$$ at the airport counter when they weigh your bag.

We also offer Surfboard Rail Protectors and Nose and Tail Guards for use inside surf bags for additional protection.
If I have two boards that are both 19 inches wide, but I'm also trying to include padding, would this be an extremely tight fit? This doesn't seem very wide realistically for two board plus padding
In addition to looking at the width of your two boards, you would also want to look at their thickness, for this double board bag. The two boards together, including with any padding or anything else you were trying to fit in the bag, would need to be no more than 4.7" thick. For two boards, especially with any padding or anything else in the bag, that is a bit small, and really is just going to fit some slimmer surfboards (or two without any additional padding). As far as the width goes, the bags are 19.5" wide, so you have up to half an inch of space between the rails and the edge of the bag width-wise, so it could be tight if you were using really thick padding or thick rail protectors -- but you should look at how thick everything is together as well, to determine whether it would work for your combo of boards.
