The Double Suspension SUP Wall Rack is a unique stand up paddleboard wall rack because it will store your boards with zero pressure points. Made by Suspenz, this rack includes their exclusive Cradling Strap System (CSS) which is effectively a suspension strap system. These suspension straps conform to your board's geometry and are what allow this rack to not create any pressure points on your board - awesome!
This Double Suspension SUP Wall Rack also is great due to its heavy duty and powder coated metal frame. The monolithic, tubular steel construction will ensure a long lifetime and allows you to store SUPs up to 100 lbs! Suspenz has done an excellent job powder coating this rack in their signature yellow and recommend this rack for indoor or outdoor use! Having a rack you can use in your home, garage, shed, or even on the boat dock is a HUGE advantage. For outdoor storage in saltwater environments, here's a Galvanized Outdoor version of this rack.
Another key feature about this suspension SUP rack is that it has built in safety straps. These are adjustable straps that can be tightened down to ensure your rack stays securely in place. This is a great feature if you store your boards outdoors in a windy spot or if you're afraid someone might bump into your board.
Suspenz is one of the leaders in kayak home storage. Known for their bright yellow powder coat finish and unique suspension strap system, Suspenz makes a great product at an affordable price. Suspenz's main feature is their Cradling Strap System (CSS). This is a suspension strap system found on most of their racks that ensures there will never be any pressure points applied to your kayak or board. Additionally, Suspenz is known for highly customizable, expandable, and universal storage systems. All Suspenz products also have a one year warranty from the manufacturer.
Determine spacing for the SUP racks. As with all Suspenz racks, the ideal spacing is 40 percent of boat length, at least that’s what the engineers say. Always anchor into a wooden wall stud. Use a mounting screw to mark the hole locations. The mounting holes are spaced 4 inches apart. Use a 3/16 drill bit. Soap the screw threads – an old carpenter’s trick. Leaving the top screw loose makes it easy to rotate the rack to find the bottom screw hole. Studs are typically on 16 inch centers. Mount second rack arm at same height as first.
Adjusting the rack straps: Undo velcro on the safety strap. Undo velcro on the support strap. Set length so SUP is suspended without touching the arm. Re-attach velcro to position safety strap. Secure SUP with safety strap. With the expansion plate kit, it is easy to add storage for a second SUP. Assembling a double SUP rack. The single SUP configuration extends 10 inches from the wall. The double SUP configuration extends 20 inches from the wall.
Hey! This is Josh from StoreYourBoard, here today with the Double Paddleboard Suspension Wall Rack mounted behind me. You can see there’s two different levels. There’s four of these basic U-hooks included so you can see one, two, three, four. So, the one at the back gets mounted to the wall and then the second level is actually bolted to the first U-hook. So, this guy bolts on to that with included hardware, included bolts, so it’s a really compact option to store two paddleboards in a row, and it also looks kind of cool with the step back aesthetic on it. The reason it’s called a suspension wall rack is because it’s built from this heavy-duty metal U-hook made of steel, powder-coated, and then it has this nylon strapping inside of it and what that does is it prevents the paddleboard from touching the metal. So it just hangs there in a suspended state, so that’s pretty cool especially if you have a nice high-end SUP, something like that. It just forms exactly to the edge of your paddleboard no dents, no dings, no nothing. You got to see that back here. If you can see this, my hand underneath here, there is no touching the metal and the paddleboard. It’s all in the suspension system, so that’s pretty cool. It also has a top strap, so your SUP rests in this suspension cradle, and then it has this top strap, which can strap it in for extra – take that apart. It goes like this and then there’s a buckle right there, so the top strap here is just an extra security feature. You don’t need that for everyday use, but it is nice maybe if you have kids, high-traffic area, something like that. It’s really, really secure. That’s the suspension rack. I’ve got another board down here. I’m going to show you how it goes up. You just place it in and it stays just like that, so this board I don't have strapped in; this one behind, I do. It’s very compact like I said. Inside the U is 8 inches and each U is 10 inches, so this is hanging out around 20 maybe a couple more inches, and then each one has 8 inches so that holds the majority of the paddleboards on the market. The big race, the big touring boards would probably not fit but most of the other ones. This is an inflatable paddleboard so this is like 6.5 inches wide and you can see it fits just fine. this was s Christmas present, however it was clearly marked what it was. Not able to hide the gift. Wished it was in another box!
Alternate hardware would have been a nice option. I am mounting to an aluminum dock and the hardware provided won't work.
I ordered two locks, a chain, and this double suspension rack. Only one lock showed up and a single suspension rack (in two separate shipments). Once contacted, the company quickly sent me the missing items, but I think they need to work on their order fulfillment accuracy! The double rack works well. It was easy to install and is easy to use.
So the "lean the SUP boards against the wall" didn't work very well. Next we tried webbing straps with buckles on the wall - which worked well for long-term storage (long winters in Iowa) but not for the take the boards down, then put them up and down and up and down we need here in NC (basically need two people to make them work - one to hold the board, the other to work the straps.) These new hooks work great - one person can pull the boards off the wall and after we return one person can easily put them back on the rack. (Note: We don't use the long straps because the boards are stored in the garage - but I will keep the straps for our next house where the boards may be stored outside under windy conditions.)
Screws were a little weak and stripped during installation. Put others in, hope they hold up!!
Everything arrived as ordered. We have assembled them, which was very easy. We have not installed them as yet but they certainly look like good quality and will work out for the space we have in our garage.
Easy to install and the straps keep the boards from having to contact the metal. As advertised and works well
Great design and easy to install. Excellent solution for two SUP using compact wall-based footprint.
These racks work perfectly. No only do they store my boards efficiently, they also protect the surface of my boards with the suspension property. Everyone who has paddle boards and are serious about taking care of them should purchase your racks - so glad I did!! Thanks. Jim
I mounted sup suspension rack on the back of my houseboat. Before I had to carry the sup up the ladder to the second deck wich was a pain. Ithe racks are awesome free standing and the tie down boards won't get damaged
Works just like it looks. A perfect fit for my 2 SUPs. Easy to attach to my boathouse on the lake and easy 'in' and 'out' with the boards. Very sturdy materials.
Easy to install. Study construction, not afraid SUP boards will fall out. Like the suspension straps keep the boards suspended off the racks. Fits my SUP boards nicely even when they are in their protective travel bags.
great service, great racks, great quality. All great stuff here, nothing bad to say. Easy installation and all the fasteners included.
Especially like the straps to support the board. Like the fact they are not resting directly on bracket. Easy to load and unload.
We are very pleased with the quality of the SUP double suspension rack. It attached easily to our aluminum dock & will keep the SUP's safer than leaning against the deck & makes it easier to access.
Quality is excellent. I strongly recommend it!
The double suspension SUP racks are so easy to install and take up little or no room in the garage. My initial plan was to store boards in the rafters but that would've made it impossible for kids to get boards out by themselves..
With these racks my 13 yr old son has no problem putting away the boards or getting them out.
We purchased 2 SUP's for our kids for Christmas presents, I wanted to get a rack that would A. hold both boards and B. something they could get the boards on and off easily. The double suspension rack works great both boards fit in nicely, we only had to remove one of the fins for them to fit nicely against the wall...
Exactly what I was looking for and received them promptly after ordering them.
The installation of the double suspension wall rack was easy and quick. The system holds two boards and are easy to get the boards in and out of the racks. Beats other systems I have tried. Wished I would have found these sooner.
