Product Description

Can't wait? Check out this Freestanding SUP & Kayak Rack | Up to 6 Watercraft  instead!

If you're looking for a movable rack system to store SUPs and Kayaks, check this freestanding rack out! It's made of heavy-duty steel, has wheels with brakes, works great outdoors in freshwater environments, and can hold up to 8 SUPs, at least 3 kayaks, or a mix of 3 kayaks and 4 SUPs.

A great feature about this kayak and paddleboard rack is that it's a freestanding rack, meaning you don't have to install into anything - no holes in your walls, no drilling, no stud finding. Because it's freestanding, you can put it anywhere you've got the space; many customers prefer freestanding racks for ease of use. Yet it's also got caster wheels (with brakes) so if you want to move your paddleboards and kayaks from one place to another (your car or dock for example), this rack will make that job easy and fast. Just roll the rack to your new location and set the brakes to keep it in place. It's designed for use outdoors in freshwater areas and is ideal for garages, basements, docks, lakehouses, or outdoor storage spaces.

It's got plenty of customizable kayak and SUP storage too! This rack offers a great mix of storage for kayaks and SUPs and you can optimize your setup depending on your mix of boats:

  • For Kayaks: 2 kayaks are cradled horizontally off either side of the base (1 on each side), and 1 kayak is placed horizontally across the top of the rack = 3 kayaks.
  • For SUPs: 4 sets of rack arms (2 on each side) further up the core of the rack = 4 paddleboards.
  • For all SUPs: 2 SUPs at the base (1 on each side, in the "kayak spaces") + 4 SUPs in the rack arms + 2 SUPs on top (dimensions permitting) = 8 SUP storage spaces

Weight and Size Capacities: The base storage spaces for kayaks can accommodate kayaks with hull sizes up to 36 inches wide and 16 inches deep. There's more storage flexibility with the top space, and we've seen people store their larger fishing kayaks and canoes, cargo boxes or ladders on the top rack, subject to the size and weight limits. It's 42" wide and 48" long, giving it a stable, sturdy base. All together, this rack is weighted to hold a combined 400 pounds! Made of a bronze-colored steel, it's tough enough for the job. For additional versatility, the 4 sets of SUP rack arms are removable, to allow you to customize your setup whenever you want. The rack arms that hold your kayaks and SUPs are padded in high density foam, which will protect your boats while they're being stored on the rack.

Check this out! I’m Andrew from StoreYourBoard.com. This is a water sports dream. We’ve got our Three-Kayak Four-Board Storage Rack with Wheels. It holds up to 400 pounds. If we see how this thing is loaded and you know that I just rolled it in easily, you’ll feel great about getting your gear anywhere from your garage to your car, loading, unloading, back again.

Let me explain how the rack works. There are two levels on the bottom. This bottom, front level, is open. On the back, we’ve got a kayak. The kayak will lean against this front brace J-bar and then you’ll have kayak in the back, kayak in the front. As we go up a level, we’ve got rack arms for more than a meter side here, so two boards here and then we’ve got the same thing up another level, back arms for two boards here. On top, we’ve got one slot for kayak just like this. You can take all that in. Think about how you fit your boards and kayaks into this rack.

I’ll share with you some of the dimensions. It’s 42 inches deep. It’s 48 inches wide, and it’s 68 inches tall. It’s made of heavy steel and all these rack levels and arms are padded, so there’s no risk to damage for your boards and your kayaks. I’m going to show you one more view of the rack arms. We’ll pull our paddleboard out here. Now you can see the rack arms here. There’s about 11 inches of space, which depending on the size of your fins, the thickness of your boards that we’re placing here, a good way on how you arrange your setup. Once again, this is a really durable steel rack. I’ve shown you a lot of its functionality. I’ve shown how it’s got wheels.

If you have a bunch of boards and a bunch of kayaks to store, check it out on StoreYourBoard.com.

Q:
I have a very light weight racing surf ski of carbon/Kevlar that weighs 28 pounds and is 21'6" long. It's an Epic V10. I am also going to buy a SUP board soon. Would your kayak/SUP board stands be okay for the surf ski where the kayaks would be placed?

A:
We believe our Kayak/SUP rack could work for your racing surf ski model. One possible issue might be it's length. The rack system is 4' long, so will only be supporting a 5th or so of your surf-ski's length. 8 to 9 feet of your surf-ski will be on either side of the rack's arms. This may not really be an issue, but it is something to think about, as well as whether you have the space for that surf-ski's length (21 plus feet) where you plan to use the rack system. Other than that, it could work.
