Product Description

bike-stand-freestanding.jpg

This versatile, simple (and awesome) freestanding bike stand is a great solution to your home bike rack storage problems. It fits a variety of bikes (and tires), needs no installation/mounting, and is portable so you can take it with you.

Simple. This Freestanding Bike Stand is easy to use. It functions as a freestanding rack or stand for your bike. Insert either your front or rear tire into the stand, and your bike is supported securely, so you can keep it stored, displayed, or perform some maintenance (like chain cleaning). The spring loaded arm of the stand - the vertical support piece - is designed carefully so that there is no contact with your rim or spokes, so no risk of scratching or damage to them. No installation or mounting required, as you don't need to bolt this Stand to the floor. Also no heavy lifting to your wall required! Just ride your bike into the support piece.

Portable. When you're not using the Stand, fold it up flat and put it away until you need it next. The Stand is portable so you can take it with you on a big cross country trip, bike race, and for storing your bike in your camp / hotel room / friend's house / apartment. Use it to store your bicycle in your garage, mudroom, basement, bedroom, shed or any storage space after a ride. Its small footprint is great for any space.

What bikes does it support? The Bike Stand supports a variety of bikes, from road bikes with 20mm road tires to mountain bikes (MTB) with 2.4" wide tires (includes 29" MTB tires). That includes support for everything in between, like hybrid bikes, BMX bikes, kid's bikes, and more. For bikes with even bigger tires - like Fat Tire Bikes - check out the "Fat" version of this Bike Stand. The Stand accommodates disc brakes and suspension forks, no problem. Get 2 or more of these Stands and you can link them together to create a Bike Stand Rack.

Not intended to be used with a bike trainer.

  • Made of Steel
  • Base footprint: 13.5″ x 13.5″ (343 mm x 343 mm)

Q:
Will this also attach to another fat tire (3-5 inch) stand and also to the traditional stand? Could I mix and match?

A:
Yes, these bike stands in the traditional and fat tire versions can be linked together, and mix-and-matched. You can get an idea of how that looks from the video on our listing (also seen here).

These are great! They work just like they look. Nothing to put together. We bought 2 and love how they hook together!

I rent an apartment in a city with a very narrow garage and this is perfect for standing my bike up in the small space next to my car. It really beats leaning it against the wall where it inevitably ended up falling into my car. My bike is an old school Huffy Contestant.

I put it on front wheel. It wobbles easily, I am going to put it on rear wheel and see if that is better.

Just what we needed...

The two bikes that were mashed together leaning on a wall are very happy to be standing up in the new racks. Nothing to assemble...super easy to use.
