The Perfect Multi-Board Storage System: The Freestanding SUP Rack is the perfect choice if you have a large quiver of SUPs or if you're a retail shop owner. This rack can easily support up to 5 large racing, touring, inflatable, or surf paddleboards. This rack was made with the serious SUP enthusiast in mind and is made from premium quality parts. It also features a multi-stage rust prevention process, so it can be used outdoors in freshwater locations. This rack is made from the same materials as our super popular Stand Up Paddle Board Storage Rack so we have 100% confidence you'll love it.
Convenient freestanding design: One of the best features about this SUP rack is that it is freestanding. No need to find studs, mark up your walls, or even have wall space at all! This makes the Freestanding SUP Rack perfect for retail and rental shops. If you need a way to display and store your SUPs in the middle of your shop, then you won't find a rack better than this.
High-density foam padding: The Freestanding SUP Rack's arms are padded with a thick, nitrile foam - the high-density stuff, not cheap pipe insulation padding. This is high quality closed-cell foam that will protect your board from dents, dings, and scuffs. Rest assured that your boards will sit comfortably and won't get scratched or nicked thanks to this high quality material.
Removable arms: Another great feature about the arms is that they are removable. Attaching and detaching the arms is as simple as a push pin. Additionally, the arms can be mounted upside down or right side up. When mounting the arms right side up, the arm will be angled up 15 degrees relative to the horizon. When mounting upside down, the arms will be angled up at about 5 degrees (almost horizontal). The arms are equally strong mounted in either position, so picking how you want them is simply a matter of preference.
How to get the most out of your rack:
New for 2017: the base of the rack is redesigned as a flat base to increase rack stability and the foam padding has been removed from the base.
How’s it? Andrew from StoreYourBoard.com here today to talk to you about our Five Paddleboard Freestanding Storage and Display Rack. You can see it right behind me. This thing is beast. If you got a couple of paddleboards, you need a rack like this to store them.
There’s a lot of great features about this rack. We’ll start with the construction. It’s made out of powder-coated steel. Like I said, it’s a beast. It’s pretty strong enough to hold your paddleboards whatever shapes and sizes you have. Maybe you got some race, touring, surf, inflatable paddleboards – whatever you have this thing can hold it.
Speaking about its dimensions, it’s got five layers of rack arms for Five Paddleboards. They’re 20 inches wide, so really they have the ability to hold some pretty wide paddleboards whether it’s 30-inch paddleboards, 36-inch paddleboards. It should be good to provide enough support for your board. There’s 11 inches in between the rack arms, too, so you can know that with the thick board like this or I’ll show you in a minute we’ll have a board above it with its fin. It will be enough clearance to store your paddleboards on this rack.
I’m going to show you now. I’m going to put a board in. Let me show you how it works. We’ve got this soft top style SUP right here. It’s a very simple rack to use. Slide your paddleboard in. Set it on the foam padding that covers each rack arm to keep your boards safe while you’re racking and taking it out of the rack and you have it set. Like I mentioned before, we can take a look down here. We have a thick inflatable SUP on one level. We have a center fin on the next level. There’s still clearance for your boards.
Another great feature about this rack is that there is some assembly. But it’s pretty simple and you can see how easy it is to unhook the rack arms from the rack. There is one pushpin that you use to insert and remove the rack arms. That’s how easy it is. I’ll also show you some versatility in this rack. If you remove the rack arms, you can set them up this way or you can also change the angle of that rack arms to suit whatever paddleboards you have and you can notice that here, the arm is facing up angle. You use that in a variety of different ways, but right here on this level if you have a wider board, you can angle this rack arm up where you have a little more space between these two boards.
I mentioned that this is powder-coated steel, that it is a beast, but we recommend it for indoor use. That’s great for your garage, your shed, anywhere else like that where really storage oriented. We also do recommend it for some outdoor use but not necessarily saltwater environments. We have some other marine-grade freestanding racks that will be a little bit better suited for a saltwater environment. Freshwater environments yes; saltwater is where we draw the line. If you take a look once again, pretty simple rack, portable, freestanding. Set it up anywhere you want. Take care of your paddleboards so you can enjoy them for as long as possible. I don't really know what to say other than the thing just showed up today and it's really beautiful. I saw the box, figured I'd set it up before my wife got home as a surprise.
The parts are really nicely finished metal. Black hardware. Nice soft pads on the arms that hold the paddleboards.
Took me maybe 20 minutes to assemble with the two provided wrenches. I wasn't trying very hard to go fast.
It's super strong and is now holding our four boards and my Thule roof cargo box which is not currently on my car. So that was a bonus!
Great paddleboard holding thing. I would think it was more expensive from how nice it looks. I love it. It will hold my boards up off the ground away from the spiders and dirt and leaves. And my Thule box will protect them from rain! (They're already well shaded, so no worries there.)
TL;DR-- Great product, worth every penny. I love it.
Easy to assemble and looks great and cleans up a corner of Boards that were all over the place. Can store my boards on the rack inside for the winter
East to set up, very well designed. Board slips in effortlessly. Multiple ways to orient it on the dock. I have the rear support bar out over the water and used 4x4 to support from the the lake bottom. That way I maximized dock space.
We Love the freestanding SUP Rack. This will be our 4th purchase for the business. One small thing we miss was the first two we purchased had the rubber at the bottom where the legs are, and now they are no longer an addition. They still work great and hold even our heaviest boards. Thanks, guys!
This rack is rad. I use it to hold two prone paddleboards, including a 17'6 unlimited, and 3 surfboards. The build is solid and assembly was easy.
I love this rack. Its exactly what I was looking for.
The rack is good - my recommendation would be to strengthen the vertical posts so they don't flex when 5 boards are on the rack. Otherwise, the rack is perfect for my use. Thank you.
The rack is awesome!! It's lightweight and easy to move around, yet it is very stable when the boards are on it. It's pretty easy to get the boards on and off it, and I feel they are safe.
My only complaint was the the nuts sent with the rack were stop nuts, so I couldn't put it together with the equipment provided. I had to run to the hardware store and grab some hex nuts that were a different color (didn't bother me) to put it together. I don't remember the size I needed, but I remember they were metric. Other than that, assembly was easy. I would purchase again.
The stand is easy to build and handles multiple boards of varies sizes and thicknesses. Great value!
Racks exactly as pictured. Easy to assemble. One SUP and 4 longboards which had been stacked in the garage are now neatly stored and easily accessible. Excellent customer service. I would highly recommend Store Your Board.
Easy build. Product is sturdy and I already have it loaded to its max capacity. I had to use a freestanding rack due to storing my boards in a storage unit, and this fit the bill nicely.
This rack holds two surfboards, two paddle boards and two snowboards easily. It's easy to move, even with all of the gear.
The unit wobbles a little when boards are taken off or on because it is so lightweight - and the directions for assembly were a little lacking - but it does what it's supposed to do. and is good quality.
I've only had it a few days, so I might appreciate its ease of use over the little wobble and give it an "excellent" rating later.
Looks good, very stable and very easy to put together.
Good quality for the price. Fast delivery.
I am renting a home that would not allow me to attach anything to the walls. This rack is the perfect answer to holding my sups, surfboards, kite boards and the snow boards. Not only that but I can easily take it with me when I move.
The quality, ease and look of this rack is perfect! Glad I purchased it
We purchased 3 of these babies for our paddle board business and they worked out perfect for us! We now hold paddle board yoga and rentals at the lake thanks to this product. Easy to put together and holds tough! Thanks from the Desert Louts Paddle Board Yoga Team!
The product was very easy to assemble. The arms just snap into place with those little push button spring locks. My 8 year old tackled installing the arms. I needed something for easy storage of SUP and my old surf boards.
The design is well balanced.
This is just what I needed.
Came shipped missing a little foot piece. Customer Service acted fast and shipped out the part to me the same day. Great Customer Service!
Exactly what I was looking for. Frankly, quality was better than I expected and assembly was simple. May buy a second one for use on my houseboat.
I was surprised at what a quality product this turned out to be. Looks good, easy set up. Very happy with it as it is in a very visable location.
This SUP rack was easy to put together, and is well designed. I needed a way to store a bunch of boards without drilling holes in the concrete walls, and this rack really did the trick.
great product...very happy...my only feedback is that it should have pads on the upright bars where the boards come in contact with he rear upright bars...otherwise-Badass!
This product is fairly lightweight and easy to put together. It is stable and holds all of our boards with ease. I am very happy with this product.
We needed something we could use immediately and could hold 5 boards. Its working perfect (as advertised).
This product is perfect to store my boards in my garage. I have recovered floor space now. This is a nicely constructed, easy to assemble rack. I'm buying one for friend for Christmas gift.
I wish I took a before and after picture, my 5 Paddle Boards were all over the backyard. Now all are in the rack and safe from dings!
We are a new paddle board shop and we ran out of rack room! Your free standing rack was the perfect solution. Carrys 5 easily (we slipped a 6th in on the base). It balances well and moves easily on the short nap carpet. Easy to assemble, sets up quick and stays tight. And quick delivery!
