Product Description

free-standing-stand-up-paddleboard-rack-small.jpgThis Freestanding SUP Rack is the best SUP racks we have ever seen for storing your stand up paddleboard upright. This SUP display rack is second to none as far as stability, quality, and universality are concerned. Whether you are paddling on a 9 ft surf SUP or a 14.5 ft racing behemoth, this freestanding SUP rack can handle it! This rack comes in Black!

How it works: This rack relies on a 3-point contact system to securely hold your SUP in place. There are two arms that hold onto the SUP's side rails and a U-shaped cradle at the bottom to catch your board's tail. Each arm is a steel rod with a U-shaped, rubberized end that snuggly grasps around your board's rails (i.e. edges). The magic of this rack is in the flexibility of the arms. The steel arms act as a spring (akin to a leaf spring) that constantly wants to keep pressure on your board. To insert a SUP into the rack, you simply spread the arms, drop your board in, then let the arms spring back into place. Easy!

Universality is one of the best features of the Freestanding SUP rack. This rack will gladly accommodate a wide variety of types and sizes of SUPs. For instance, it can hold: flat water, surf, touring, race, and even inflatable design stand up paddleboards. Additionally, the rack's tail cradle can hold square, pin, squash, rounded, and swallow tail designs! Unless you have some completely experimental SUP design, you can feel confident this rack will hold your board and hold it well.

One word of caution - SUPs are massive! If you plan on using this rack in your home or place of business, please double check your ceiling height. The typical residential ceiling height is 8ft. Most SUPs are longer than this! Since this rack will hold your board about 6" off the floor, you need to add 6" to your measurement to make sure everything will fit. This is not to say this is a poor residential SUP rack. In fact, we've seen plenty of people use it indoors to show off their favorite toys, but you just need to double check it will fit in your own home.

How’s it going? Andrew from StoreYourBoard.com here to talk to you about our Freestanding Paddleboard Rack, which you can see right next to me. This is the premier display rack for your paddleboard. It’s great for retail shops and displaying your board at expos. You can see the rack. It consists of a solid metal structure with a 3-point contact system. All the points that contact your board are covered in foam, so when you’re putting your paddleboard into the rack, you really don’t have to worry about dinging or damaging your board.

As you place downward pressure onto the bottom piece, the two sides clasp, providing the pressure needed to keep your paddleboard vertical, upright displaying it wherever you want. I’m going to pull this paddleboard up now. The thing is it’s a pretty sizable board. All you need to do is let gravity do its magic in this rack. Apply downward pressure and the board contacts the bottom, supported by the two sidepieces.

This board is 31.25 inches wide and it’s 4.5 inches thick, so this rack is made to hold a variety of paddleboards, which is one of the reasons it’s such a great choice for displaying a lot of different boards. Like I said, you’ve seen it at a lot of different expos, surf expo, outdoor retailer, all the big retail shops that are displaying their paddleboards for their customers.

One of the reasons that’s true is because it might be tough for you to store your paddleboard at home in a vertical position, knowing how big they are. Unless you have the ceiling clearance at your house, then you might need a different rack. We do have a lot of horizontal options, which might be better suited for you. This rack also has a cousin used to store longboard surfboards or shortboard surfboards equally as popular, same concept. As you can see, this is a very stable rack. It’s great for displaying your paddleboard. Check it out today at StoreYourBoard.com.

Q:
Will this vertical accommodate a Bic Ace tech wing 12.6 LTD?

A:
This SUP stand will hold a board a 12'6" board. It fits a variety of board shapes and styles, including flat water, surf, touring, race, and inflatable SUPs, and it supports supports square, pin, squash, rounded, and swallow tail designs. We believe it should work for your board, that tail should be fine; as long as your side rails aren't too thick, it should work.

Q:
I would like to buy this product but would it fit with this board? Its width says 25inches; my board is 24 inches wide.

A:
This SUP stand should work fine for your board. The stand is 25 inches in width, but it can hold boards that are wider than that; in our video (on the listing) we show a board that is 31" wide being held by the stand.
