Store Multiple SUPs with Ease. The Freestanding Standup Surfboard Floor Rack is a convenient way to store multiple boards in one compact rack. Made from steel, the rack is strong, sturdy and durable. Its freestanding design is perfect if you can't or don't want to mount a rack into your wall, or if you want a rack to be mobile. While the rack is very sturdy and constructed from steel, it is still easy to move around. This means you could take it to your beach house for the summer, then bring it back home for winter storage!
Strong steel frame: This rack is designed to hold standup paddleboards, so it will easily hold huge or heavy longboards and you can even stack multiple boards on top of each other because of all the room between each level. Looking for a larger rack? Here's the same freestanding rack for 5 Surfboards!
High-density foam padding: The rack arms come padded with a thick, nitrile foam - this is the high-density nice stuff, not the cheap-pipe-insulation-type padding. Rest assured your boards will sit comfortably and won't get scratched or nicked thanks to this high quality material.
Removable arms: Another great feature about the arms is that they are removable. Attaching and detaching the arms is as simple as a push pin. Additionally, the arms can be mounted upside down or right side up. When mounting the arms right side up, the arm will be angled up 15 degrees relative to the horizon. When mounting upside down, the arms will be angled up at about 5 degrees (almost horizontal). The arms are equally strong mounted in either position, so picking how you want it is simply a matter of preference.
How to get the most out of your rack:
New for 2017: the base of the rack is redesigned as a flat base to increase rack stability and the foam padding has been removed from the base.
Howdy! I’m Andrew from StoreYourBoard.com, here to talk to you today about our Freestanding Three Surfboard Rack. You can see the rack right here. It’s set up with three levels for three surfboards. Pretty easy. It’s a freestanding rack, so there’s nothing to mount or install into your floor or your wall, so you can move around from your garage to your basement, to your deck to anywhere you want to store your surfboards.
One thing about this rack is it’s made from heavy-duty powder-coated steel, so it’s pretty strong enough to hold your surfboards. We recommend it for indoor or some outdoor use but not waterside basically. It’s not a real saltwater-resistant type of rack. There is some assembly required to the base, but it’s a couple of screws. It’s not difficult, and I’ll show you how easy it is to put the rack arms on.
They mount with a simple pushpin and they’re pretty padded for your surfboards so you’re not going to have any troubles dinging or damaging your surfboards when you’re racking or un-racking the boards. I’ll put the rack arm in once again to show you how easy it is and you’re all set.
Another great feature about this rack is that you can decide how you want to create your storage space because the rack arm can mount in two different positions. You see now it’s angled up. You have a little bit different type of storage for your boards. This might come in handy on the bottom level. You can put this angled up to create a little more space on the bottom, or you have one flat arm and one angled up-arm. Again you just created additional space between these two arms.
If you have the rack set up so that all the arms are parallel, there’s 11 inches between rack levels and the arms are 28 inches wide, so really with surfboards, you’re not going to have a problem with your wet gear.
So I’ll show you once again how easy it is to put your boards into the rack. I got a single fin I just put it into the rack here on the second level. There’s really no problem with the long single fin of clearance between your two boards. Now I got a three-fin setup that I’m going to set right on top. Really easy. So at the end of the day, you can have your garage looking like this with your surfboards. Very simply using this rack. The Three Freestanding Surfboard Rack, check it out at StoreYourBoard.com.
It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. I use it to hold two longboards and Sup. I added castors, making very easy to move around my garage.
Easy assembly. Holds my logs. Looks good doing so. One part came loose while screwing a couple pieces together & base is a bit uneven/not properly leveled. Otherwise I like it. Also reasonably priced (to me) when comparing other racks or cost/time spent building one's own rack from scratch
Awesome stand holds three 9' boards worth the money
This rack was purchased for being able to hold my inflatable SUP boards before and after they are rented to evaluate is there is damage and to show the renter that it is safe to use.
It was a cinch to put together. If I can do it, anyone can!
The rack is well built and feels incredibly sturdy. If I need more storage for my boards in the future, I know where to purchase!
This rack helped me clean up my basement pile of boards. It's a clean design and it look like it's built to last. The only issue was that the directions told me that I needed more screws than were provided. However, during assembly, I only needed the screws provided.
It was easy to assemble and is very well made. My only comlaint is it isn't made for outside storage, Should be water resistant!
Great Rack, Easy to Install, Works great!
