Save space by easily lifting your bike up and out of the way The Hydraulic Bike Lift is one of the most innovative ways to get your bulk bike up and out of the way for efficient storage. By utilizing a custom gas strut system, this rack makes storage for your bike a breeze. Perfect for saving space in your apartment, home, or garage!
Solid construction The Hydraulic Bike Lift is made from solid, simple construction and is backed by a 5-year warranty!
Handles your bike with care The lift is equipped with coated storage hooks along with a mounting pad to prevent any scratching of your bike's frame. Each storage hook also includes a safety strap to ensure your bike stays secure at ceiling height.
Easy-to-Use The system is easily installed in less than 20 minutes. Once active, simply rack your bike on the storage hooks, press upward to raise your bike, and then pull the strap down to release your bike back down. The top of the rack should rest at least 16" below the ceiling, to allow enough space to lift the bike up parallel to the ceiling.
What bikes doe it fit? This versatile rack can accommodate bikes of all different shapes and sizes, including ones with untraditional frames. The tube-frame has 12 hook entry points on each side, that you can lower or raise at will. to securely fit your bike's shape. It can work for handlebars that are up to 24" wide.
How much clearance from the wall is needed? How would you recommend configuring for 4 bikes and a 10’6” paddle board?
For this bike rack, you need to place the top of the rack at least 16" from the bottom of your ceiling; then the bars that are raising the bike up to the ceiling have a total length of almost 33", though it is angled -- but as it raises the bike, it will be using a bit less than 3 feet of room, as it positions the bike upwards, to the resting place. Once it is in the resting place, the bar extending from the wall will take up only about 2 feet of room at most, but your bike's wheels, etc, will likely extend farther out from the wall, into your room, depending on how big the bike is, so you want to think about that. You can see what it looks like in the photos on the listing, to give you an idea, and you can check out the video of it in use, on the listing as well. Setting up several of these for multiple boards/bikes, will take some planning, and wall space, but maybe this will give you an idea for starters.
