Product Description

The Hydro Combo Rack is a great rack for your boat if you're looking for a high quality, yet affordable way to keep your wakeboards and kneeboards up and out of the way. Made by Big Air, these racks are 100% Billet Aluminum and are designed to live a life in the sun and salt water. The Billet Aluminum is incredibly sturdy and will prevent the rack from ever rusting. This Hydro Combo Rack is designed to hold up to one kneeboard and one wakeboard. With 1.25 inches between the forks for the wakeboard, there is plenty of space to hold kids, womens, mens, and even the new camber style wakeboards. The kneeboard forks have 4.43 inches of space between them which means they will hold foam-core boards or the newer, thinner fiberglass boards.

One of the best features about this rack is the adjustable attachment method with the clamp. There are four bolts that sit in slotted channels that are used to attach to the rack to the clamp. The slotted channels are a very important feature because they allow you to adjust the angle of the rack relative to the horizon. It is common that the tower leg you are attaching the rack to is not vertical and is tilting to one side or the other. If you didn't have some method of compensating for this tilt, then your boards would be stored at an un-level angle. Luckily, the four bolts and slotted channels provide nearly infinite adjustment and allow you to level your rack.

Each rack comes with an adjustable clamp that will fit 2", 2.25", and 2.5" tubing sizes for towers. The clamp is the component that will attach your rack to your boat's tower. As an important note, you will need to check your particular tower and ensure that it is one of these sizes in order for this rack to fit properly.

How do I figure out what my tower tubing size is?
Once you determine the perfect spot for your new wakeboard and kneeboard boat tower rack, get a piece of string and loop it around the tower. Then, measure how long the string was that went around the tower - this is your circumference. Use the table below and read across to find out what diameter tubing your tower is. Now you should know whether your tower can accept this rack's clamp (if it comes out to 2", 2.25", and 2.5", it will). If it doesn't, don't worry, we carry a large selection of racks that will fit your needs. We recommend checking out the Wakeboard and Kneeboard Combo Tower Rack if you need different clamp size options.

Circumference (inch)    Diameter (inch)    Diameter (inch) Fraction
3.93 1.25 1 1/4
4.71 1.5 1 1/2
5.11 1.625 1 5/8
5.50 1.75 1 3/4
5.89 1.875 1 7/8
6.28 2 2
7.07 2.25 2 1/4
7.46 2.375 2 3/8
7.85 2.5 2 1/2
9.43 3 3

This Hydro Combo Rack also comes with the option of a polished aluminum swivel add-on. The swivel add-on is a special mechanical device that sits between your rack and the clamp and allows the rack to swivel around. Why this is such a great feature is that it allows you to load and unload wakeboards from the rack with ease. When the rack is in its normal storage position, it has the wakeboards facing out and away from the boat which means you have to lean out over the water to get your board in and out of the rack. With the swivel, you can swing your boards around to face you on the inside of the boat - a huge convenience! We highly recommend a swivel -see the video below for more information.

Q:
I have a 2015 Yamaha AR192 boat. The tubing diameter is 1 7/8. I'm wanting a black kneeboard rack that will fit.
A:
Some OEM towers are being made with tubing smaller than 2". This rack ships with a couple of liners that some customers have attached together, to accommodate smaller tubing sizes. While this isn't the best method, because you tend to loose complete contact all the way around the tubing, it can be done. For your particular tower, you would just need to include a small part of the additional liner, as your tower's diameter is very close to the 2" minimum that the thickest liner included will accommodate.
Q:
Can this rack go on a horizontalbar,as well as a vertical bar - does the clamp in back adjust to allow this?
A:
The Hydro combo kneeboard/wakeboard rack can be adjusted so that you can mount it to tower legs that are at an angle, but it won't attach properly to a completely horizontal bar. If your boat doesn't already have a boat tower, you might want to consider thisTowerless Wakeboard Rack which is available with a kneeboard/wakeboard version, and comes with a horizontal bar that you install on your boat to hold the board rack.
