Safety first! This is a rescue throw bag designed for use (and hopefully never used) with kayaks and canoes. If you white water kayak or go through any challenging rapids in your canoe, then having a rescue throw bag is a must. The throw bag is used to rescue a swimmer and, in some cases, to help unpin a boat.
How does it work? To use, you hold the free end of the rope, then toss the bag to the swimmer. Easy! This throw bag includes either 50' or 70' of polypropylene float rope that keeps everything afloat. The bag is made from a lightweight but strong 450 D packcloth and 1000 D reinforcement material. An integrated foam insert is used to keep the bag afloat when no rope is in it. A side release buckle ensures secure attachment and rapid release.
