Product Description

The Longboard Sox is an easy and cool way to protect your longboard! This longboard cover is effectively a lightweight "skin" you slip over your longboard to protect it from UV rays, dirt, dust, and minor dings. Because it's made from a thick and stretchy polyester fabric, the Sox will flex to meet your particular board shape. This longboard cover also features a protective nose piece to for added security and has a drawstring closure at the tail end.

The Sox folds up into a very compact size and can be easily transported. We recommend placing your longboard in its Sox for short day trips, or for when you're just storing your longboard around the house.  Plus, since this longboard cover is offered in a wide range of lengths, you can choose which size is the best fit for your board:

  • 7'0"
  • 7'6"
  • 8'0"
  • 8'6"
  • 9'0"
  • 9'6"
  • 10'0"
  • 10'6"
  • 11'0"

**NOTE: This surf sock comes in royal blue, not the striped design shown.

If you're looking for more heavy-duty protection for your longboard, you will want something like the Day Bag - Premium Longboard | Ocean and Earth.  This bag is a great option if you are planning a long trip or are taking your board onto an airplane.

Q:
I have a 9 foot 8 inch board-which size should I order?

A:
For a 9'8" surfboard, you would want to order the 10' size of this board sock!

Q:
I have a 8' by 28"wide surf/sup, will a regular longboard sock stretch wide to cover?

A:
This longboard sock might not stretch over your board. For your board, I would recommend a SUP sock instead, as your board sounds a little closer in shape to a SUP, and the SUP covers are built to stretch over slightly wider boards like yours and thicker boards. You can find some options shown here.

Q:
Does this sock at 8' stretch enough to fit a 8' long, 30" wide board?

A:
For this sock, the 8' length stretches to fit an 8 foot long board -- however, you can sometimes run into a problem with it fitting a board if your board is very wide and/or very thick (has thick rails). At 30" wide, it might be close, especially if your board is very thick. Unfortunately there isn't a perfect fit guide for either of these socks that will guarantee they will fit a particular board. If your board isn't too thick, the 8' long size may work, but it could be close due to the width.

Q:
I have an 8'10" surfboard. I assume the 9' sock is the way to go - I just want to confirm that it will fully cover the board including a single (large) fin. Is that correct?

A:
Yes, you would want to go with the 9' foot version of this board sock for your board, for the length. How well it will fit over your fin could be a question-mark; these socks are meant to be stretchy, but it can vary how well they work over various fins and board shapes. If your board isn't too thick, it should work, but it can be hard to guarantee.

Q:
Just purchased a 9'6" board, better to go with the 10' or 9'6"?

A:
The 9'6" sock would be fine for your board, as long as it is a surfboard and not a SUP. You could go with the slightly larger size (10') if you just want a little more room in the sock.
