Product Description

Our Strongest and most durable StandUp Paddle Board (SUP) rack ever! This precision machined Paddle Board storage and display rack is made from 304 Stainless Steel with Anodized Billet T6 Aluminum Brackets. This SUP rack works well both indoor and outdoor. This rack can hold over 100lbs, so throw your biggest Paddle Board up with confidence (just made sure it is securely anchored to a sturdy backing). Since we all know SUPs can be quite large; you need storage rack to put it in. Why spend the better part of $1000 or more and then get it all banged up on the ground? If you can't fit it inside - hang it up outside, this rack can take the elements.

Swivel vs. Fixed Mount: The Swivel Mount upgrade of this SUP rack includes a spring button mounting system that allows the rack to fold flat against the wall when you're not using it! This is great for tight storage spaces, like garages, docks, and sheds. The Fixed Mount mounting system screws the rack into the wall in a fixed position.

Hey, this is Andrew from StoreYourBoard.com. I’m here with our Indoor Outdoor Stainless Steel Paddleboard Wall Rack. It’s mounted on the wall. It comes with two arms. I’m going to show you some of its different functionality, why it’s a great indoor and outdoor paddleboard rack. Of course, it’s made from stainless steel, so it can withstand outdoor weather conditions. This is great if you want to set it up on your dock, on your deck, anywhere near the water. You’ll have no trouble worrying about its durability under those conditions.

There are two different versions that we have available on StoreYourBoard.com. There’s a simple difference is how it mounts to the wall. Right now I’m going to show you how the swivel version works. The fixed version is just going to sit fixed against the wall. To start, with these two mounting pieces and again this is for the swivel version and you simply insert the rack arm like this. It fits through the mounting pieces and locks into place very easily. Now you have your rack set up, able to use for your paddleboard.

I’m going to show you with the paddleboard. We’ll insert our board here. That’s in place in the rack. At the rack’s cradle, there is a 6.5-inch thick space for your paddleboard, so for more typical-sized paddleboards, they should fit no problem. If you’re looking at something with a displacement more a very, very thick paddleboard, this might not be the rack for you, but we also have space for our fin facing backwards. We got about a 5-inch long fin in this paddleboard and again that fits with space between the wall and our fin.

As you can see, it’s a nice compact rack also. It’s about 16 inches off the wall that’s mounted with your board and it’s stainless steel, so of course people love this to use indoors and outdoors right near the water where you want to keep your paddleboards. You’ll notice this nice thick foam where your paddleboard contacts the rack to keep your boards safe while it’s in the rack.

I’m going to take the paddleboard out. I’m going to show you one last swivel feature. This is the rack empty now. Of course, when you don't have your board in it and you still have this rack sticking out, you have a tighter space in your garage, maybe somewhere around your dock. You’re going to lose a lot of space, but the swivel feature allows you to simply swivel your rack against the wall when you’re not using it. No steps are required. It’s very easy to swivel your rack against the wall. You’ve got flat space and you’ve got your space back wherever you’re storing your paddleboards otherwise.

Again, this is our Indoor Outdoor Stainless Steel Paddleboard Wall Rack. Check it out on StoreYourBoard.com.

Great SS board hangers

Looked around pretty extensively and liked these since they were stainless steel, they folded (only ones I found with this feature), and they only protrude from the wall (or dock posts in my case) about 14 inches (more than some, but still acceptable in my application). Been using them for 3 weeks of constant use and they work really well. The foam also helps to keep the boards in place during high winds outside, while protecting the board edges as well. Instructions were pretty easy, and the mounting bracket design being separate from the hangers themselves was nice to work with. Only 2 small suggestions...1) would be to provide 4 stainless screws for outdoor/dock type installations, along with the wood screws provided for indoor installs, especially for the higher price point these fall into, and 2) provide a small plastic tube with some silicone to secure the rubber tip ends to the pipes/hangers...they can come off when boards hit them on the way out without some "glue" factor. Great product so far, and does everything promised. We really like them.

High Quality SUP Rack

I was skeptical about this SUP rack at first. It seemed pretty expensive for a rack, I mean I just wanted to get my SUP out of the way. Well, I decided to buy it and I am very happy I did! It is really high quality, very solid, all metal construction, nice swivel feature. I put the rack in my garage, which is not climate controlled to I know a regular steel rack would rust over time. I have only had it up for a couple days but it looks great and it very sturdy, I know my SUP is safe on the wall!

Q:
How thick of an SUP board will this rack hold? I have a large Riviera 12.5 foot board that is about 6 inches thick and want to be sure before ordering this rack.

A:
The hooks on this indoor-outdoor SUP rack have a width of 6.5", so if your board is about 6" thick, this swivel rack should work. You can set the arms for this rack at whatever distance you need to accommodate its length.

Q:
Is this SUP rack durable enough to be mounted to a dock and left outside?

A:
This SUP rack is made from stainless steel, so the rack will hold up outside. These are constructed with all high quality materials, but depending on the environment where it is being used outdoors, factors such as direct sun, salt water, etc, can cause the foam padding to eventually wear out over time.

Q:
Can I use a few of these to stack multiple SUPs on top of each other?

A:
Yes you could mount a few of these paddle board racks in a line vertically up your wall/mounting surface to store multiple boards. The thing to keep in mind would be the clearance to be able to get your boards easily in and out of this rack. Depending on how thick and wide your SUPs are will determine how closely you can space them together.

Q:
Do I need to order 1 or 2 of these to hang 1 board?

A:
Our stainless steel SUP rack is a complete set to store one board - if you are just looking to hold one SUP, you only need to order one.

Q:
Can I buy the fixed mount and add the swivel mount at another time?

A:
At this time, the swivel and fixed mounts are not interchangeable.

Q:
I am considering using this to store my Sunfish Sailboat. The weight is about 120 lbs and the thickness would fit your rack. I am wondering however if the boat would bend the top arms down because the boat is wide enough that over half of it will "hang" above the top of the arm. What do you think?

A:
Our Stainless Steel SUP rack has two different load capacities, so for it to work for your Sunfish Sailboat at a weight of 120 lbs, you would need to purchase it with the Swivel Mount option, which allows the rack arms to pivot and increases the load capacity to 150 lbs, as the fixed mount will only support up to 100 lbs. However, we think the swivel mount version of this Stainless Steel Kayak Rack from the same manufacturer would be a better option for your Sunfish. The swivel mount on that rack will help you load and unload a heavy sailboat, and we believe it would work better than the SUP rack for your boat.

Q:
Will these mount to a stone wall and it there a way to extend the arms farther at an angle as I have to clear a couple of retaining poles in my garage?

A:
This stainless steel SUP rack includes standard mounting hardware to attach it to wall studs, and according to the manufacturer's mounting instructions must be mounted into either wall studs or a solid wood structure. It is sometimes possible to mount such a board rack to concrete or masonry/brick walls, it requires additional concrete or masonry anchors, such as TapCons (which can be found anywhere you can purchase hardware). But I am a little hesitant to recommend this rack for such mounting into a stone wall even with additional anchors - if it really is a stone wall, I am not familiar with ones that you can really drill into or what type of anchors would work; if its not actually stone, but some other material, concrete or masonry type anchors may work.

About your other question, the arms on this SUP rack aren't able to extend at a different angle. We do have some racks that have arms that can be moved to different positions, but how well they would work for the stone wall may be a question-mark, though most could be mounted to concrete or masonry walls with additional anchors. One example would be this Paddleboard Rack that has arms that can be set at 15 degree or 5 degree angles, or even removed. It can only hold up to 60 lbs though - where the stainless steel one can hold a load up to 100 lbs, and I am not sure either of those angles work for you, but that is one type that adjusts.

Q:
Is the swivel bracket also made of SS?

A:
The swivel version of this Stainless Steel SUP Rack has stainless steel cradles, but the brackets are anodized billet T6 Aluminum
