Product Description

The Premium SUP Boat Storage Rack is currently the highest quality rack we offer for storing your paddleboard on your boat. This rack is a 100% weatherproof and is constructed from high quality 6061 aluminum that has been sandblasted for a polished finish. The rack arms have diecut EVA foam lining the inside to protect your board from any dents or pressure distortion. Each rack arm also has a built-in marine grade bungee that lets you secure your board down. This is great because it helps prevent any rattling as your boat moves through rougher water.

One of the key features about this rack is its clamp mount system. This a railing-mount style rack that is designed to attach to your boat's stanchions or crossbar railings. The rack attaches to the railing using 4 universal swivel clamps. These clamps can rotate 360 degree which allows you to mount the rack on slanted stanchions. Each rack arm receives two clamps that are inserted into one of the 4 pre-drilled. These 4 pre-drilled holes are spaced along the length of the rack arm so that you can have lots of different mounting configuration possibilities. With the swiveling clamps and the multiple clamp mounting locations, this rack is very universal and will fit almost any boat railing or stanchion configuration. This rack comes with a very detailed instruction manual and video, so installation is a breeze.

We offer this rack in a single SUP and double SUP version. The double SUP version is the single version, but with an additional extension arm. With both kits all necessary mounting hardware and tools are included so no trips to the hardware store will be necessary. We also recommend the wall mount conversion kit for this rack. This wall mount bracket lets you use the SUP rack on a wall like in your boat house or garage. The wall mount bracket is perfect for off season storage of your paddleboards. The wall mount bracket is made from the same high quality 6061 aluminum.

Until now, if you wanted to store your standup paddleboard on your boat, you had to use some less than elegant solutions. Those days are over. Introducing SUPRAX by Surfstow the complete standup paddleboard solution. SUPRAX are versatile, allowing you to store one or two paddleboards on your boat. You can even use the SUPRAX at home, with the optional wall mounts made of sandblasted aluminum alloy. SUPRAX are built to last, even in the harsh marine environment. Installation is simple. Just attach the clamps to your stanchions. Everything you need is included in the box. What about angled stanchions? Unique rotating clamps allow for mounting on virtually every boat, so whether you have a small sailboat or a large cruising yacht, SUPRAX will fit right in and look as stylish as the rest of your boat. So free up some deck space and secure your big board for your next adventure. When you’re done, hang it on your wall. Don’t compromise. SUPRAX by Surfstow is the complete stand-up paddleboard storage solution you’ve been waiting for.

The SUP Rack system is the complete board storage solution. Today we’re going to show you how to install the single board rack on a boat. The single board rack is the foundation for the entire SUP Rack system, and installation is very easy, so let’s get started. The first thing you want to do is identify all the components in the box. You should have two single board racks with bungee attached or 360-degree rotating clamps, two sets of plastic clamp inserts your use will depend on the size of your stanchion and all the necessary hardware and tools you will need for the installation. The first thing you want to do is determine which mounting holes you will use. There are four holes, so you have options depending on your particular layout. Hold the rack up to a stanchion to see where the clamps would work best.

You can now install the stanchion clamps. You’ll notice the clamps can rotate prior to tightening. Today, we’ll be installing on a straight stanchion, but if you are installing SUP Rack on a boat with angled stanchions, you can rotate the clamps to fit any configuration. One example is shown here with the clamps attaching to the top rail and an angled stanchion. Tighten the rotating clamps and place firmly, and then put one of the insert halves into the clamp. There are two sizes of inserts. So use the insert that fits your particular stanchion that still allows for the clamp to be closed around the stanchion. After the clamps and insert halves have been installed, you can put the rack against the stanchion. Now put the other half of the insert on the stanchion and close the clamp. Tighten the clamps against the stanchion and that’s it. After you’ve installed the second rack on the next stanchion, you are ready to go. The SUP Rack are installed. All you need to do now is to put your board in the racks and secure them with the bungee cords. There really isn’t a right or wrong way to secure the bungees since every situation will be different, depending on the board size. Just wrap the bungee around the post until the board feels tight in the rack and secure the loop on the post. Now, you’re ready to head out with your board securely fastened to your boat. While SUP Racks are built to withstand practically anything, we don’t recommend you stow your board in the racks in heavy seas. We hope you enjoy your SUP Racks.

I bought these SUP boat rack(s) to replace a Mantus SUP racks on my 42ft Hunter that were not well enginered and tore up my stanchions as they twisted in light water. This product seems stronger and beter made. I also like the fact that they are adaptable from one to two SUPs as needed. They don't tell you that and probably should- the two rack model is made to carry either one or changed to a two SUP carrier. Will recommend product to other cruisers.

Excellent product. The only problem I had was my stanchions taper from 1 inch at the bottom to 1/2 inch at the top. Your stanchion clamps don't have an insert that small. I would recommend asking the buyers to include the diameter of the stanchions they plan to use and include the inserts required.
So far the rack is working great. Thanks!!

Q:
Will this fit on a Sea Ray Sundeck 220?

A:
This SUP rack requires your boat has a railing/stanchon in order to work, and the diameter of the railing must be either 7/8", 1", or 1 1/4". So if your boat has a railing, and it the diameter of it is one of those sizes, it would work, otherwise it won't.

Q:
Will the width of the premium marine bracket, which mounts to the stantions on a sailboat, accommodate a 6" wide Tower inflatable SUP?

A:
The bracket width for the boat SUP rack is 6 1/4", so a 6 inch SUP should fit, though it is close. That your SUPs are inflatable should not be a problem, if they are no larger than 6 inches thick.

Q:
I'd like to place in your racks on my catamaran, will they work?

A:
Yourcatamaranwill need to have railings, and the railings will need to be 7/8", 1", or 1 1/4" in diameter, for this boat SUP rack to work.

Q:
Will this fit on a 2007 31" ss formula?

A:
This premium SUP boat rack needs to be mounted to your boat's stanchions or crossbar railings, so for this rack to work, your boat will need to have railings or stanchions; additionally, the railings/stanchions must be either 7/8", 1", or 1 1/4" in diameter fior it fit. So if your boat model has railings or stanchions, measure their diameter, and if it matches, this should mount to your boat.

Q:
Will they fit on a Hunter 426 with 1" stanchions. I saw you units on another monohul sailbat and though they looked pretty good. I previously purchased a set of Magma SUP mounts (expensive as well) and they basically twisted in place and chewed up the stanchions by twisting at the metal on metal connections. Will these stay in place in seas and not twist around or tear up the stanchions? I am considering the two board model but it seems like a lot of weight and leverage hanging on the stanchions.

A:
As for this SupRax Yacht/Sailboat Rack, it should fit your 1" diameter stanchions, for starters. The clamping system is versatile and strong; the clamps also include rubber inserts, that help secure their grip and also prevent scratches. You have several choices of mounting holes for where you place the clamps on your stanchions - that can help pick a location that is well suited for holding the board(s), in a position that won't cause problems like you encountered on the other rack. I have had many customers using these on their sailboats and yachts around the world, and I haven't had any reporting back issues on twisting like you described. That being said, the manufacturer of the SupRax does *not* recommend storing your boards in the rack in heavy seas. They say its built to withstand almost anything - except for that disclaimer about storing them in heavy seas. I do think the clamping system should perform better than what you experienced, but I can't really guarantee what the specific experience is going to be, since there are variables. We have an installation video on our listing, if you haven't checked it out - the installation video shows how the clamp works, and that may give you an idea on how well it might work for your needs on your boat.

Q:
You have two racks to carry a SUP on a sailboat -- what is the difference between them?

A:
Our Premium SUP Boat Storage Rack is available in versions that hold 1 or 2 boards; it fits handrails, stanchions or railings that are 7/8", 1", and 1 1/4" in diameter. The single version can hold a board up to about 6 &3/4" thick. The double version provides an extension that can fit an additional board. The mount for this SUP rack has 4 different choices for where it attaches to the railing. It is well-padded, includes an integrated marine-grade bungee, and the rack itself is made of 6061 Aluminum to withstand the elements.

This Boat SUP Rack for Yachts, Sailboats & Pontoonswill hold one board, up to 6.5" in thickness. It attaches to the handrails or stanchions that are 3/4", 1", and 1 1/4" in diameter. It is made of 304 Stainless Steel; the clamps are molded nylon with rubber inserts and the rest of the hardware is stainless steel, all to stand-up to the elements. It has decent padding for your board.

Both of the above SUP racks have clamping systems that will rotate up to 360 degrees, for maximum flexibility/adjustment and fit on the boat.

Q:
Will this rack will fit my Hobe Mirage Eclipse? Also is this the best, top of the line rack we carry for my SUP?

A:
Whether your Hobie Mirage Eclipse SUP will fit in this SUP boat rack will depend on how thick it is - I couldn't locate the thickness for it online, in any specs, so you would need to look at that, and if it is less than about 6 & 3/4" thick, at the ends where it would be sitting in the SUP holder, it would fit. If it is thicker than that, you would want to order the two board version of the SUP boat rack (available in options), which will give you extra room for your SUP. You would of course need to remove the pedal drive while storing it in this rack system. This particular boat rack is an excellent choice for a Yacht or Sailboat - you would be attaching it to stanchions or rails that are either 7/8", 1", or 1 1/4" in diameter. It is well-padded and constructed with materials meant to withstand the boating environment.
