Product Description

This is a premium hand-made surfboard rack. Keeps your surfboard out of way and safely secured to your wall. Great way to show off your stick in style! Perfect to display your board and store it when you can't be surfing. You can't go wrong with this rack. Makes a great gift.

This surfboard wall rack is a true show piece. This rack looks nicer than half the furniture in my house! When you pick it up it really feels sturdy and it is being that it is made from solid ash hardwood. In this day and age when it seems like everything is more flimsy and most "wood" products are some kind of cheap particle or wafer board with some plastic veneer this is the REAL Stuff.

The construction quality is top notch and no corners are cut. The "arms" are triple screwed and pegged. Pegged ?!? that is unheard of these days, there is a dowel driven through the base plate and into the arms to give it that extra support to make sure your prized surfboard stays safely on the wall. All the edges are rounded using a router to give it that finished look and make sure nothing rubs your surfboard. The screw holes in the base plate are pre-drilled and countersunk with end caps included to hide the screws and really finish off the rack.

The great thing about such a nice rack is that it fits in with any room from really nice and elegant rooms to casual surfer beach residences. Not only does it look incredible, but it also does a really nice job of displaying and storing your surfboard. The angled arms make for easy access to your boards when it is time to get in the line-up.

I would say the only thing that is going against this rack is that it is a bit pricey, but hey this is a solid hardwood finished surfboard rack. So if your main goal is just storing your surfboard out of the way somewhere where you don't care what it looks like you might try out our Surfboard Storage Hooks or ourSurfboard Storage Straps.

So if you are looking for a great surfboard wall rack to store, display, and just showoff your stick this is definitely the rack for you.

Ride on,

Q:
What is the maximum thickness surfboard I can store in this rack?

A:
As you can see from the dimensioned drawing below, the "hook" to hold your surfboard is 2 1/2" wide. This is the first thing to consider but a very important factor to consider is that you have two arms here to support your surfboard, therefore you need to measure the thickness of your board where the rack will actually hold the board which is at the ends where it is usually a bit thinner. This design will hold a large majority surfboards avaliable on the market.

Q:
My board is 23" wide. I don't think it will fit in the rack but I really want this rack for my place. Do you think it will work?

A:
You might just be in luck. When most people initially measure their surfboards they measure the center of the board where it is widest. The key is to measure your board where the rack will hold it. Most of the time this means toward the ends where surfboards usually taper in to a smaller width. We have found that this rack holds almost all surfboard that are 24" wide and less.

Q:
My surfboard is 75 pounds. Will this product hold the board, or is there another you would recommend?

A:
This rack would not support that heavy of a board. We really would not recommend a wooden rack for a 75 pound board. Your best option for that weight range would be a metal rack, such as this horizontal rack. You can also find some other metal rack options here.

Q:
I have a 9' 10" longboard, only weighs 25 lbs. but has an 11" length skeg which I would like to face the wall without removing. Will this work?

A:
On this surfboard wall rack, you have inside of 17" between the wall and your board, and the arms are holding the board at an angle, so the 11" skeg should be fine facing the wall, there should be enough room for it. The weight and length would not be a problem; though the lips on the rack arms are only 2.5", so you would just want to make certain your board is 2.5" or less in thickness at its ends, where it sits in the rack.

Q:
My board is 3 1/8 thick and 7' 10" long. Which wood display rack would you suggest? Looks like the thickest rack is 2 ' 7/8.

A:
The SUP version of this rack has a larger gap area to hold thicker boards - its 4.5", so would work for your board. There is also a compact/upright-armed wood SUP rack that has a 5" gap for the board, as another alternative in wood racks in this style. The length of your board isn't a factor because the arms on any of these types can be set up at whatever distance you need to hold the length of your board.

Q:
Will this hold up on an exterior wall, exposed to the elements?

A:
I would not recommend this wood surfboard rack for outdoor use. It could be subject to rotting; you may be able to apply a sealant to it, but that may not work well enough, so I wouldn't recommend it Our outdoor surf racks can be found here: https://www.storeyourboard.com/outdoor-surfboard-racks, where they are sorted out for whether you are in a saltwater or freshwater area.

Great Board Rack

Well made, solid and finished nicely. The angle is a pefect fit so the board does not hit the wall. One thing I'd recommend is to offset the lower screw hole a bit to allow a drill easier access for installation.

The mounting was a pain, the bottom hole was in line with the arm so it made it challenging to get screwed in.

I have an 11" board and when I tried to put it up, the screws come out of my cement wall. I needs anchors. Also I would prefer a horizontal one so I could make a table out of it.
The birch 4 board set looked cheap for what I paid. I wasn't gonna hold
my board and I would have to stain it,

I was looking for an attractive and convenient way to display my board in a prominent room in my home. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality beauty of this rack. One of the unique features that I love is the way the rack angles out from the wall. Not only does it allow for viewability of both the top and bottom of my board, which other racks can't provide, but the size allows for a wide variety of boards to display from the smallest to the largest longboards. Lastly, the customer service and incredibly fast shipping was amazing. I was motivate to buy the 5 board freestanding SUP rack as a result. That product is amazing as well. Highly recommended!!!!!

My Oceanside '70, bought new when I was young and surfing at Cocoa Beach, Florida, has been lonely and almost forgotten in the corner of my garage in Birmingham, Alabama, for years. These beautiful racks have allowed the '70 to come inside to a proper place to be seen and appreciated. The racks, like the '70, are practical and beautiful works of art.
