Product Description

The Kayak End Mount Carrier makes getting your boat to and from the water easier than ever. If you own a kayak, you know how frustrating and burdensome it can be to get your boat all the way to the water. Even if you live on the water, carrying your boat that last 100ft still usually requires the help of another person. Fortunately, this Strapless Kayak Carrier will make your boating experience more enjoyable and relaxing.

What Kayaks Does it Fit? This cart is available in 2 sizes to fit your kayaks. Because the tail of your kayak fits through the cart, the tail of your kayak must be less than the width of the cart and its height+4",  must be less than the maximum height that each cart opens to.

  • Large: 15" wide with kayak opening that adjusts from 7" to 15" tall with a push button (will hold a kayak up to 11" tall). Ideal for smaller kayaks like freshwater kayaks.
  • XL: 24" wide with kayak opening that adjusts from 11" to 20" tall with a push button (will hold a kayak up to 16" tall). Ideal for larger kayaks like ocean or fishing kayaks.

Must-Have Cart Features:

  • End Mount Cart. The cart's a dolly or hand trailer that takes your boat's weight and puts it on the cart. This cart is a end mount cart, meaning it will sit underneath the stern of your kayak or canoe to absorb nearly all of your boat's weight. A bungee is included to quickly clip to your boat, but pressure keeps your boat in the cart, so just load it up and go! It's quick and easy.
  • Airless Wheels. The wheels on this cart are airless so there's no inflation and no flats. They're also 10" tall to provide the mechanical advantage to ride over rough terrain like dirt, gravel, sand, mulch and more on your way to the water. Plastic rims mean the wheels won't rust.
  • Neoprene Covered Support. The horizontal bar that supports your kayak is covered in neoprene padding to protect your boat against slipping or getting dinged during transport.
  • Aluminum, Rust-Proof Frame. A frame made of T6 603 aluminum, with stainless steel hardware means the entire cart is rust-proof, so take it outside in any weather and be confident it will withstand the elements and last.
  • Folds-Down. The entire cart can be quickly and easily folded down for storage and transport. Included is a heavy-duty mesh bag with shoulder strap to carry around your cart from one destination to the next.

Q:
Is the 15" or 19" width the area where the kayak sits in this cart?

A:
Yes, the smaller rack is 15" wide, and the larger one is 24" wide, and that is where the kayak is held by the cart. The cart fits over the end of the kayak, so your kayak may be wider in the middle than those measurements. The larger cart is a safe choice, if you think you need the extra width.

Q:
Does the bungee attachment from the cart to the combing allow you to push, as well as, pull your boat? Does the bungee actually "hook" to the combing?

A:
You can possibly push (instead of pull) your boat, with this kayak dolly, if you switch the direction of the top cart arm that holds the kayak in place. You really don't use the bungee to pull or tow the boat, though. You normally are just hand-towing the boat, and the boat is held in place by the end cart. The bungee doesn't actually hook on the combing, but goes into the cockpit, and is more of an extra safety strap.

Q:
Would this work for sot fishing kayaks? The widest part is 32"; it weighs about 75 pds.

A:
Our strapless kayak cart would not be recommended for your SOT fishing kayak. While the weight is fine, your kayak is going to be too large to work on this cart. We would recommend instead this super duty kayak trailer, which is made for big boats like yours and will work better for it.

Q:
Will the large strapless kayak carrier work with my sit-on-top Sundolphin Bali 12 SS which is 29.5" wide in the middle?

A:
Our strapless kayak cart would not be the best recommendation for your SOT kayak, it is getting too wide for this cart to fit properly and this cart doesn't work for larger SOTs. We would recommend instead the Super-Duty Kayak Cart your particular kayak

Q:
Will this cart fit a Natives Ultimate 14.5?

A:
Your Native Ultimate 14.5, in either solo or tandem model, would most likely require the XL size of this cart, but to know whether or not either the L or XL size will work, you should double check some measurements on your kayak.

First, double-check how wide your kayak is at its tail, which is going to be narrower than its beam width. The tail of your kayak must be less than the width of the cart size: less than 15" wide for Large size cart; or less than 24" wide for XL size.

Second, measure your kayak's height/depth close to tail, and add 4" to that number. That number must be less than the maximum height for either cart's height -7" to 15" tall for L size, or 11" to 20" tall for the XL.

Q:
My kayak is 10 " long by 29 1/2 " wide. Should I get the large or extra large kayak carrier?

A:
Our Kayak End Mount Carrier will have the narrower end of your kayak loaded into it, so the measurement you need to look at with your kayak is not its width at beam (that 29" width) but what it tapers down to at its stern.

The XL size of the carrier can be used for kayaks that are as wide as 24" at the stern end; the L size will hold one up to 15" wide. So it mostly will depend on how narrow your boat becomes at it end.

The other factor to look at is how deep your kayak is at its stern, to know which height adjustment is better. The XL one can hold a kayak up to 16'' deep; the L one can hold a kayak up to 11" deep.

The weight specification remains the same for either - it will hold a boat up to 150 lbs.

Easy to slide on and fasten to the kayak. So much easier than the wheels with straps.

Love this cart! Great design. It is the perfect and only solution I found for easily and quickly moving around my 12' Old Town Dirigo kayak. First of all it is super fast to hook on the kayak and go. The strap version I bought previously was a pain to strap on and wouldn't stay on while moving the kayak. Secondly the handle shape on the top is great for helping me lift the kayak up on top of my hatchback. It also helps me load the kayak by myself, without dragging the stern. Would agree with another reviewer that being able to remove the wheels with cotter pins would make this excellent cart even better.

The cart works great . It would be a good idea tho to be able to put the wheels on and off with cotter pins so it would be easy to bring the cart along on you kayak .
