Product Description

rack-for-sup.gifThis is a premium hand-made paddle board rack. These racks are an easy and convenient way to store your board without the hassle of removing fins, and are an eye-catching addition to any décor. Know where the boards are so you are always ready to catch that perfect wave.

This SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) wall rack is a true show piece. This rack looks nicer than half the furniture in my house! When you pick it up it really feels sturdy and it is being that it is made from solid ash hardwood. In this day and age when it seems like everything is more flimsy and most "wood" products are some kind of cheap particle or wafer board with some plastic veneer this is the REAL Stuff.

The construction quality is top notch and no corners are cut. The "arms" are triple screwed and pegged. Pegged ?!? that is unheard of these days, there is a dowel driven through the base plate and into the arms to give it that extra support to make sure your prized surfboard stays safely on the wall. All the edges are rounded using a router to give it that finished look and make sure nothing rubs your surfboard. The screw holes in the base plate are pre-drilled and countersunk with end caps included to hide the screws and really finish off the rack.

The great thing about such a nice rack is that it fits in with any room from really nice and elegant rooms to casual surfer beach residences. Not only does it look incredible, but it also does a really nice job of displaying and storing your Paddle Board. The angled arms make for easy access to your boards when it is time to get in the line-up.

If you are looking for a great SUP wall rack to store, display, and just showoff your stick this is definitely the rack for you.

Ride on,

Josh Gordon Owner

These nicely crafted SUP brackets are a very nice way to display & store your board. I live in SW Florida so the board cannot be left outside when not used for very long without incurring sun & heat damage. My 11'04" x 32" SUP fits nicely and slides in & out of the brackets with minimal effort. A bonus is that it looks great. It is obviously hand made , hardware included at a fait price. Installation was simple once I located the studs inside the wall at the correct spacing to accommodate the board width. 15 minutes is really all it took.

These hooks are very well made and nice looking. I have a 12 foot SUP, and it fits perfectly on the hooks. Would highly recommend them if you are looking for a nice way to store your board. I can take my board down easily and carry it out the door. I do need an extra hand when putting my board back up on the hooks, only because I am five foot four and the hooks are a little high on the wall. Other than that, they are great!

My husband purchased two paddle boards without really thinking about storing them. We live on the beach, which is great for having boards, but we live in a condo, which is the worst place to store a board, we have no storage. For the last two years we talked about hanging them, and looked at racks, but we never made a move in that direction, what we did was store them behind our couch, they are 11 foot boards and 31 inches wide,,, so imagine that. This year for Christmas I decided to surprise my husband and I bought the racks. I read the reviews and checked out the description and felt confident they would work. I ordered two sets and the cost was so reasonable. The racks came quickly, in time for Christmas and while my husband was out of town one of his friends came over and hung the racks and we put the boards up,,, we decided to hang them in the bedroom and they are perfect there... we had a totally empty wall so we hung one higher than the other. and they look like wall art. they are easy to get out the the racks and easy to put into the racks. Hanging the racks was not difficult, I had never done it before, but I probably could have if I would have had the right tools... my friend used a drill, a screwdriver, a stud finder and a step ladder,,, very simple... I would recommend these to anyone,,, MY HUSBAND LOVED THEM. HE LOVED THE WAY THEY LOOKED AND HOW FUN THE BOARDS LOOKED ON THE WALL... I now have my living room back,, no more boards behind the couch...,,, my friend who hung them is ordering the racks for his boards, he loved them.

I am pleased to send this photo of the ash wooden SUP wall rack I recently purchased. As you may be able to see,I have a small bachelor pad here and space is at a premium! The SUP is 12 feet long and about 32 inches wide and the rack fits it perfectly. It was simple to mount to studs behind the sheetrock and I feel it is perfectly suited for my needs. Thank you sir for all of your help and very timely and efficient customer service. I will gladly pass along your website link to my fellow surfers and SUP-ers! Mahalo!

Q:
What is the maximum thickness SUP I can store in this rack?
A:
As you can see from the dimensioned drawing below, the "hook" to hold your SUP is 4 1/2" wide. This is the first thing to consider but a very important factor to consider is that you have two arms here to support your SUP, therefore you need to measure the thickness of your board where the rack will actually hold the board which is at the ends where it is usually a bit thinner. This design will hold a large majority of SUPs avaliable on the market.
Q:
My SUP is REALLY long, will it still fit?
A:
Yes. The two arms are independent of each other and can therefore be positioned at whatever length apart that is necessary to hold your SUP.
Q:
Can these racks be used outside and secured to a concrete wall?
A:
Our Wood SUP rackw ould not be suitable for outdoor use - they will degrade in the elements fairly quickly because they are wood. To answer your other question, regarding concrete, if you have an inside location as an alternative place to mount them, you could mount them to concrete, but you would need to purchase concrete/masonry anchors separately, from anywhere you buy hardware supplies (Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.), as only standard mounting hardware is included with these board racks.

If your preferred location to mount some SUP racks is outdoors, then we would suggest you take a look at the racks that are recommended and suitable for outdoor use, which you can find here: outdoor SUP racks, which is sorted by whether they are good for salt water or fresh water areas, and we have some info about what to look for in outdoor racks here: learn. Most of those racks can be mounted to concrete, if you purchase concrete/masonry anchors.
Q:
How heavy a board can this rack hold?
A:
This wood SUP wall rack does not have a weight specification available from its manufacturer. In general, wood racks can sometimes be a little less consistent in what weight range they can support, due to the nature of variances in wood, which is why metal racks are sometimes preferred for heavier boards. Additionally, as with all types of wall racks, it is critical to mount them properly to wall studs, following installation instructions and using the included mounting hardware, to make certain they will work to their peak performance. I can't give an exact weight range here, but I would be hesitant to recommend it if your board is over 30 pounds.
