Product Description

No rack? No problem. The single biggest problem with choosing a bike roof rack is solved with the SeaSucker Talon. Everything you need to mount your bike to roof, hatchback or even a fiberglass surface is included in this single unit. So there's no need to figure out compatibility between vehicle rack and bike rack manufacturers. In fact, you don't even need a roof rail system. The SeaSucker Talon utilizes a series of suction mounts to securely, yet temporarily, attach your bike to your car's rooftop or rear windshield.

Massive holding power secures bikes up to 45 lbs.  The Talon's 4 suction pads come with a pull strength of 210 lbs each!  Additionally, a rear wheel suction pad provides stability by anchoring the rear wheel.

I'm worried it will fall off. That's the most common concern with these, but there's no need to fear. Ever seen a couple workers carrying a 10-foot sheet of skyscraper glass? Yup, they're using the same suction technology employed in this bike rack. After mounting the rack it's best to pull once or twice to confirm it was properly seated. Otherwise, you're good to go, as these racks are highly rated for pull strength.  For even more peace of mind, the pump tabs have an indicator that visually shows suction power is being lost.  So a quick glance during your stops will confirm the rack remains securely seated.

Great for travel; bring in your carry-on! If you ever take your bike with you as you travel, you know it's a major issue trying to figure out went rental vehicle you need on the other end. The Talon is small enough to easily bring with you on your flight.  So you can know get to and from the airports with the same bike rack!

Q:
I actually have a '78 VW Bus.... will this rack work on my van as well..... I need two; I travel with 2 bikes (road & off road).
A:
These bike racks don't have an official fit guide from the manufacturer, but will work for "roof, trunk or hatchback attachment," on any non-porous flat surface - metal, glass, even fiberglass. So most likely could only work if the top of your van and your bus had such a non-porous flat surface. Additionally, regarding the bikes being transported on it, it can work for bikes up to 45 lbs at highway speeds.
Q:
What is the differences between the Talon and the Bomber versions of the rack?
A:
The only difference between the Talon & the Bomber versions of this roof rack system is how many bikes they can hold, as follows:

Talon - holds 1 bike (up to 45 lbs)
Mini-Bomber - holds 2 bikes (up to 45 lbs per bike)
Bomber - holds 3 bikes (up to 45 lbs per bike)

Otherwise, they are the same technology & rack system!
Q:
Can this rack system fit a Tesla model S?
A:
Our Suction Mount Bike Rack System does not have a manufacturer's fit guide that will guarantee what vehicles it can work for, in part because it has has a universal fit for most vehicles, as long as they have a non-porous surface area they can attach (including metal, glass & fiberglass). It works well on smaller vehicles, as well, and has a very small footprint of 15" x 13" and can be attached in several different locations on a vehicle - roof, trunk or hatchback. So I can't guarantee it can work on your Tesla, but those are the basic guidelines to go by, I hope that gives you an idea whether it will work.
