Classic or Pro? New for Summer 2018! Our popular Hi-Lift hoist is now available in both the "Classic" design as well as our new "Pro" version. Our Classic hoist comes equipped with hooks at either end to hold the tie down straps. Opt for our new Pro version and you can use custom-designed loading brackets instead of hooks. The Pro also includes a center connecting strap, perfect for kayaks, canoes, and SUPs with a tapered shape at each end. This connector piece will secure your hoist in a fixed position and make sure the load straps stay right where you need them. The Pro version also comes equipped with a 10 ft. longer rope for use with higher ceilings.
Included in the hoist system are two mounting brackets with pulleys that attach to your ceiling, 2 heavy duty ropes that can support up to 60 lbs, a wall mounted tie-off cleat to secure the ropes when you’re not using them, high-strength straps that allow you to wrap around your paddleboard, and two hooks that connect the high-strength straps to the rope. Additionally, for added customization, we offer a version of this product with adjustable straps that cinch tightly around your board and control the height at which your board hangs for tight spaces. This is a complete ceiling hoist system for your SUP!

This hoist system is also great for your other organization needs too! Bikes, ladders, bags, or whatever else you can imagine work wonderfully with it. So when your paddleboard or surfboard is at your lake house or beach house, the hoist can still be put to good use!

Hey, guys! This is Mark with StoreYourBoard.
With me here today, I have our very popular Hi-Lift Ceiling Hoist. This is an excellent solution to get your gear up out of the way towards the ceiling with a very stress-free loading experience.
This is perfect for kayaks, paddleboards, surfboards, or any other gear you have around your house or garage that you need to get up out of the way but don’t want to lift by yourself up onto a ceiling rack.
The hoist provides a 4:1 mechanical advantage up to 90 pounds to store your gear even as heavy as your kayaks. It’s available as both a pro as well as a classic design option.
Today with me here, I have a pro version, which includes a center-connecting strap here, which is adjustable, as well as square-loading brackets for the straps. This provides a much more secure system for kayaks, canoes, or paddleboards that have a more tapered end to each side to prevent the straps from wanting to walk or wiggle each direction. It keeps it nice and secure in the center of your board or boat here.
The standard option uses the exact same ceiling hoist system. Only a hook design instead of the square brackets. Same concept using the loading straps, only allows for the quicker loading and unloading of your boat.
The system is very easy to operate. It comes with a wall tiedown cleat to wrap off and anchor down the excess rope.
Pull down straight down below the rope to release it and lower. Simply let go to the side for gravity to grab the brake again and secure your boat. Once again, pull straight down to release on both ends of the rope to lift.
The hoist comes equipped with these heavy-duty tiedown straps with protective rubber casings on the cleats here. Excellent way to handle all the weight as well as makes it very adjustable for whatever board or gear you need to hoist up into the ceiling. Even handy enough to lower this directly down onto your car in some cases in a garage. Take the straps, right under your car rack, strap your gear down. You’re ready to hit the road.
Installation is very simple. I recommend checking out our install video in the link below. Again, this is our Hi-Lift Ceiling Hoist.

Easy to install works like advertised excellent product Would definitely recommend !
After some difficulty understanding accompanying instructions and video on line...we ordered the Pro version for which the instructions were less clear...we were able to install correctly. Very happy with the purchase and the final outcome.
It works, and I have 2 paddleboards with surfboards suspended in my garage. The video is for installing the standard and not the pro version, and for those of us challenged with clear instructions, it was slightly confusing. It's also a little tricky trying to keep the straps and ropes from crossing - but overall - very happy with the product!
This is a great product for storing boards. Well designed and easy to install. The rope is a bit sub par if you want to store more than one board. I'm using it to store 3 paddle boards and purchased some para cord, 500lb rated, from home depot for $3.50 to replace the cord that came with the product. I'm very satisfied.
This SUP hoist kit was easy to install and I was amazed by the quality of this product, especially for the price I paid. Definitely a great company!
Actually bought the hoist for stow my ski cargo box. The hoist worked perfect. The directions on how to string the cord through the pulleys are terrible with no photos for us visual types. I found a YouTube from another similar hoist that showed me how.
Product good, directions need some improvement.
I did a lot of research on ceiling hoists for paddle boards and found this one to be rated as the best bang for the buck. Package arrived earlier than expected. Although the installation instructions for the rope on the double pulley end could be explained a little clearer, it took little time to complete the and get the board hung. The length of the two straps are more than enough to hang just about anything. Very satisfied with the product. Exceeded expectations.
Works as described. Good price and easy to install.
Likely to return as the tie down cleat needs to be in line w the hoist hooks. My garage doesn't allow that and need to find a system that allows the cleat to angle off slightly.
Bought this to store my 12'6 SUP above my car in the garage. I have about 12 ft high ceiling and this system brings the board within about 1.5 feet of the ceiling. Seems to be very sturdy, which is something you want when you're suspending a $1500 board 10+ feet above concrete. Now, I can drive my SUV under and lower the board on the crossbars.
Bought them for paddle boards, the straps want to slip off the board, I made a rope with 2 loops in it so the straps cannot slip off the end of the board. I then ordered nylon straps to replace the ropes. Would be a good idea to include or offer as an option
Although I have not installed this yet, I am impressed with the quality of the hardware and the ease of installing it.
The best way to store my SUPs that I've found yet... Just be sure your ceiling height and your vehicle will allow for space for it to hang a few feet.
Straps are very long and really prevent this from getting close to the ceiling
Works great. Easy to install, and easy to use.
Wish I could hoist board closer to the roof.
What is the distance the pulleys need to be mounted away from each other?
For our Hi-Lift Ceiling Hoist, you basically want about 1/3rd, or a bit more, of your board or boat's length between the two pulleys, to evenly distribute the weight. It is an approximate distance, but, for example, say you have a 9 foot board, you would place the pulley brackets at anywhere from 3 to 5 feet apart, so that 3 to 5 feet of the board is between the two brackets. If you have a really long board or boat, maxing out the distance between the pulleys at about 5-6 feet at most is usually fine.
