Product Description

Lightweight, Versatile Efficiency: Why waste energy carrying your heavy paddleboard to and from the water if you don't have to? We all know SUPs can be heavy, and this SUP Bike Trailer is perfect for conveniently and enjoyably transporting your paddleboard, whether from the parking lot, down the boardwalk, or from your home near the waterfront. This Paddleboard Bike Trailer is built with style and versatility in mind, making it one of the best options out there if you're looking for a SUP carrier that you can attach to your bike. It even comes with a built-in storage bag for your extra gear.

Fits almost all SUPs out on the market today. In fact, in many cases, you may be able to fit two stand up paddleboards on one SUP Carrier! Three support bars with rubber padding provide enhanced board cushioning. This rack is perfect if you need to carry your kid's, friend's, or significant other's board, too. The rack can support multiple SUPs or even a kayak as long as you don't exceed the weight limit of 75 lbs, and the length limit of 15 feet.

Adjustable Design. The trailer's sturdy and lightweight aluminum frame extends from 6' long to 15' long! By hitching the trailer to the rear hub of your bike, your kayak will have a low center of gravity for a smooth ride.

How does it attach to my bike? The SUP Bike Trailer easily attaches to the rear hub of your bike with release hardware. The trailer's connector piece has a 0.25" receiving hole to fit most standard size bikes. We do not recommend this trailer for larger beach cruiser bikes.

  • Adjustable from 6' to 15' - fits boards/boats up to 15 feet long;
  • Weight limit: 75 lbs
  • Fully Assembled, the trailer itself weighs 25 lbs
  • Wheel diameter: 16"
  • Wheeled SUP Carrier
  • Seat post attachment clamp
  • Gear storage bag

Q:
Do you have a trailer that can work on a bike, to tow either a SUP board or a kayak?
A:
Yes, this bike trailer can can work to tow either a Kayak or a SUP. As long as you don't overload the capacity of 100 lbs, you can stack more than one SUP on this - but you won't be able to tow the SUP & the kayak at the same time, though could use for either.
Q:
Does this work for inflatable SUPs too?
A:
Yes, this bike trailer works for inflatable SUPS, and may people use the trailer for their inflatables boards. The stays are covered with a protective foam which will prevent any scratches or other damage to your SUP.
Q:
What is the difference between theKayak Bike Trailer | Tow Your Boat and theLightweight SUP Bike Trailer?
A:
There is no difference between our kayak bike trailer and the SUP trailer! They are the same bike trailer - its just sometimes people are looking specifically to tow their kayak (or their SUP) so we have them listed separately...but the trailer will work for either! The trailer is one of the only options of this sort, that can tow a kayak by bike.
Q:
Can theSUP & Surfboard Bike Carrier & Trailercarry 2 boards?
A:
Yes, this bike trailer can support a couple of boards - it can carry up to 100 pounds and will work for a couple of boards.
Q:
Is there a strap to pull it behind a golf cart?
A:
No, this bike trailer is meant for towing behind a bicycle only. It is not meant for use behind any motorized vehicles.
Q:
How much does it weigh?
A:
Our SUP Bike Trailer weighs 25 lbs, so that is the amount you would be biking behind you in addition to whatever your board(s) weigh on it.
Q:
Does your carrier travel well on the airlines when its broken down and does it come with its own travelbag?
A:
This SUP/Kayak bike trailer dis-assembles fairly easily, mostly without tools. It doesn't have it's own carry-bag (though it has bag for carrying items while trailing a board or boat, that suspends from the cart). It seems like transporting it by plane may work, but it may be a little awkward to pack it, as it is a long aluminum bar (adjustable from 6 to 18 feet...), and then the wheels/wheel-frame part and some additional cradles...so that may require some planning for how it works with your luggage & packing for a flight. All the parts combined weigh 25 lbs, as another consideration, for travel.
Q:
Is it possible to order an extra seat post clamp when ordering the lightweight SUP trailer for bikes? My wife and I would both use the trailer with our bikes at different times, but we only need one trailer.
A:
Unfortunately it is not possible at this time to order additional seat post clamps for this trailer.

If you are looking for an easier to remove and transfer trailer I would recommend you check out our other SUP Bike Trailer here (https://www.storeyourboard.com/sup-bike-trailer-tow-paddleboard-behind-bike/ ) which attaches via a series of easy-to-use straps. However, this trailer can only be used for one SUP at a time so there is a bit of a tradeoff there.
Q:
I have a beach cruiser bike (Model: Schwinn Legacy Bikes) and would like to know if this will work for my  bike, or can you recommend another bike trailer for me?
A:
This SUP bike trailer does *not* fit beach cruisers.  An alternative to look at would be the bike trailer seen here:  https://www.storeyourboard.com/sup-bike-trailer-tow-paddleboard-behind-bike.  It attaches to the bike's seat, not a post or anything like that - it literally wraps around the seat, so fit isn't an issue for the trailer to the bike on that one.
Q:
Will it fit two 14ft long, 30 inch wide SUPs?
A:
This SUP bike trailer normally can hold a couple of boards; the only specs to go by though are length & weight of the boards, to know whether it may work.  So it can fit boards up to 15 feet long, so you are fine there, but nearing that limit; and then the two boards combined need to weigh no more than a total of 75 lbs.  That weight limit is something to look at, because at 14 feet, 30 inches wide, your two SUPs could be heavy; if they are lighter weight ones, than you are fine, but you don't want to underestimate their weight so may want to look that up with the manufacturer if you don't have a good idea of what it is.   So if they are within the weight limit, the trailer should hold both of them.
Q:
Is this product all aluminum? I will be using this majority around saltwater.
A:
Yes, this SUP trailer for bikes uses aluminum parts, that can withstand salt exposure.  However, the bearings to the wheels aren't... so if you are using this near the ocean a lot, it is recommended for proper maintenance for the cart & wheels to be washed and flushed after use.
