Surf? Have a Truck? This is the rack you need This surfboard tailgate rack straps onto your truck's tailgate and then straps your surfboard / longboard on top of the pad to keep it secure on the drive to your favorite break.
Universal truck fit Adjustable straps that encircle your tailgate. The strap that holds your surfboard has a quick release for and easy access to your stick.
Protect your board Many surfers with trucks are guilty of just throwing their boards in the bed of the truck but those are the same people who have chips, dings, and get waterlogged surfboards. Treat your surfboard with respect and get a tailgate rack.
Very inexpensive ,easy to use tailgate pad kept my two paddle boards strapped down better than I ever thought. Only disappointment was the pad wasn’t wide enough for the width of the board by just a little bit.
Finally a support/locking pad that actually works!!! We were able to use it on a trip to Arizona recently, and the SUP board made it safely and (very) securely. Thank you!
If your board isn't 12 ft long, this is a great and cheap way to go. I didn't want to spend $500 on the other racks but wanted to make sure my board was safe. Very easy to assemble, easy to take your board on and off. Definitely worth the amount you spend, easily.
I have a short bed on my truck and my board is 8'6 and works perfectly.
Current flat spell in Fl. so haven't actually used yet, but mounted easily enough and appears to be ok.
Great product for the price, works well. It did not have any instructions with it. But the product holds my board in a stable position and takes very little time to install.
The rack is made very cheaply and slips off the tailgate. I did a lot of modifying and it now works as I want.
We used this the weekend after it came in when we took a trip down to the OBX. He LOVED this gift and it was relatively easy to connect to his tailgate. Again, durable, as most of your products are.
the "belly seam" that goes over the tailgate is unstitched, so the nylon will fray. i'm not sure if it was intended to be left wide open underneath in order to access the padding but it's a bad design and looks shoddy. if so, a zipper should've been incorporated for the purpose of durability. the most lame feature of this thing is the strap length. it fits my 10'0" surfboard ok but couldn't do two boards. it can't even make it all the way around my paddleboard because it's just shy by a few inches; pretty skimpy. the buckles are real good. they clamp tight.
This surfboard truck rack is sweet. Once you figure out how the straps go around your tailgate it is easy to just strap in your surfboard and you know it is secure in your bed. Works perfectly for my 9'6" in my F-150.
