Save space and organize up to 3 kayaks The Three Boat Freestanding Kayak Storage is a space-saving way to store up to three kayaks in one freestanding system. The rack is designed to be used indoors or outdoors in freshwater environments and is backed by a Lifetime Warranty! While the rack is built to withstand freshwater and rain, it is not designed for use in saltwater environments or on a dock near saltwater! (If you're looking for more corrosion-resistant racks for outdoor use in saltwater areas check these out.) The frame of the rack is made from 12 gauge thick x 1.25" square steel construction which provides a rugged and stable storage system which can support up to 250lbs! The frame is powder coated in a corrosion resistant epoxy paint that allows it to be used outdoors.
This freestanding rack holds one kayak on its bottom contoured foam pads and two kayaks in the J-style arms. The vertical supports of the rack have predrilled holes along its length so that the arms can be positioned wherever you need them to. This creates a modular system that lets you adjust the arms accordingly to the size of your boats. The J-style arms are wrapped in a soft rubber sheathing to prevent scratches, scuffs, and pressure point distortion. Another great feature about this kayak stand is that the bottom feet are fully adjustable. This lets you balance the rack and get it perfectly level even when it's on an uneven surface.
New for 2019 This freestanding kayak rack now comes in a sharp gray powder-coated finish. Previous customer photos may show the discontinued red version of this rack.

When I purchased my 3rd kayak to add to my fleet, I now needed a storage rack for my garage. It came in three separate boxes (including the optional wheels I purchased - must have for moving loaded rack). I am not handy BUT I was determined and assembled the rack myself! It’s study and I’m loving it! My garage is organized and all kayaks are off the floor. I bought it bc my more expensive sea kayak (I was told) should be stored on it’s side where it’s stronger, not flat. I have it in the middle position. My 8’ rec kayak is on top and my larger rec kayak is on the bottom. The bottom kayak is very wide so I had to tilt it slightly to make access to the more frequently on/off middle position easier. I may even lower the middle position arms. Five stars for me and the least expensive storage that I found.
Holds the kayaks perfectly and the castor wheels with the brakes are a must- worth the extra cost!
The three kayak rack was easy to install and fits perfectly in my garage. I love it! Oh yeah.. it was less expensive than all the others I looked at!
I was considering building my own and when I saw this, I realized that to build what I needed would cost more than purchasing this one. It is very durable and glad I made the choice.
They will do everything possible to make your order work for you.
Perfect rack for what we needed
I purchased this rack so that I can keep my kayaks out of the winter weather. I got the three kayak unit so that I could use the top two rack positions and have open space underneath.
I removed my 11 ft rv couch that I didn't use and put this rack in its place in the living room slideout. The finish on the rack is very nice ad actually looks good inside. I used plumbing strap over pieces of styrofoam pool floaties to secure it to the floor. I'll use cinch straps to secure the kayaks to the rack when I need to move the rv.
Possibly the first person to use it this way!
Btw, I also have the Malone kayak dollies to get them to the water. I get frequent comments about how well they seem to work and the fold flat design.
Great products, would definitely by from this manufacturer again.
I ordered this for outdoor storage of my three kayaks. I was able to put it together in just over an hour (some of the time was figuring out which parts were which in the somewhat unclear black and white diagrams). It fits under the eave of my house and is sturdy—I won't have to worry about it toppling over in the wind. It's easy to get the kayaks on and off. I was trying to fit the rack against the house between two windows. Because it's very adjustable, I was able to get all three kayaks on without obstructing any part of the view from the windows. I also liked the fact that it's free standing so I didn't have to drill any holes into the siding.
Super sturdy, easy to put together.. Took no more than 30 minutes. No worries about it holding our three sit on top kayaks, one of which is a tandem. Stable, looks good, small footprint compared to three kayaks piled on the ground. Worth every penny!
Bought three of these to use as retail displays of our kayaks inside and outside the retail store. Very well built, easy to put together, and make a nice display!
We have 3 kayaks and had nowhere to put them. Did not fit in shed so we put them in the garage on my wife's side. Needless to say, she was not happy. We ordered the rack, was easy to put together and put it against a wall of the shed and covered with a tarp. Out of the wsy, out of sight. Perfect.
This high quality rack provides ease of access to our kayaks. It is sturdy and attractive, adjustable, and portable......just what we needed.
