Product Description

This Wakeboard Lock System is a great way to easily protect your investment in your wakeboard. We highly recommend some method of locking or securing your board if you leave it unattended for any period of time. It is unfortunate, but sadly there are some not so nice people out there who would love to have the opportunity to snatch up your wakeboard. Luckily, this awesome and affordable wakeboard locking system lets you leave your board unattended in confidence! This system is perfect for locking your boards up at home or on your boat. You can easily lock up multiple boards at once to a wakeboard tower in just seconds!

docks-locks.jpgThe Docks Locks Wakeboard Locking System consists of three components: 10ft resettable combination cable, a Dock Locks Jaw, and a universal cleat. The basic premise of this Wakeboard locking system is nothing more than your typical cable bike lock: a strong steel cable with a combination lock is attached to your board and then loops around some fixed object (like a bike rack). Unlike your bike though, a wakeboard doesn't have a convenient place to loop the cable through like you would with a bike frame. This is where Docks Locks have invented a clever little device to workaround this issue - the universal cleat.

The universal cleat is a metal piece that threads into your binding's inserts. By threading into your inserts, it provides an incredibly sturdy and safe anchor point for the Docks Locks Jaw. What prevents someone from just unscrewing the universal cleat from the binding insert? Good question - there is a metal bar that gets press fit into place. This bar not only prevents access to the screw, but it also provides a place for the Docks Locks Jaw to attach. The Dock Locks Jaw is a little mechanical "pinch" that can grab on to cleat and has the locking cable pass through it.

One cool feature about this system is that multiple wakeboards can be locked up together with just one cable. This is convenient if you have a couple of boards or are on the boat with family or friends.

If you just want a replacement or an additional Jaws, then check out Dock Locks Jaw | Locking Clamp. If you need replacement or additional universal cleats, then check out Docks Locks Wakeboard Universal Cleat.

Q:
Do I need to order any extra parts if I want to lock up two wakeboards with the Docks Locks system?

A:
Our Wakeboard Dock Lock sets.ships with one 10 foot cable, one Jaw Clamp and one Universal cleat - this will secure one wakeboard. To secure a 2nd wakeboard, you would need to order one more locking jawand one more universal wakeboard cleat, which you can find and order at those links. You can then use the original cable for securing both boards !

Q:
Does this work with newer wakeboards that use metric screws M6 type vs the normal ones?

A:
Our Wakeboard Dock Locks have a universal cleat you use to attach the locking system to your binding inserts; we believe the cleat will work fine for the M6 sized screws, though we cannot guarantee it, it appears the size is fine for M6 sized screws.
